Start again. It isn't a competition.
Thanks, I will try
I was mostly kidding tho...I am the worst at taking pictures I take a couple dozen a year
I'm a great cook and I steal lots of ideas and meals from this thread, just not a picture guy really
Sometimes I take good pictures of my garden and produce, but when I grill or cook I am all wrapped up in the process and never snap a pic

Tonight's halibut was cooked perfectly. Nothing complicated. Just salt & pepper cooked on a hot cast iron pan.

Seasoned grilled U10/20 scallops.
Salad of romaine, dates, almonds, tomatoes, and everything bagel goat cheese with white balsamic.

Peas, butter and the same seasoning blend as the scallops.

When I’m teaching amateur cooks, one thing I hear over and over is “It’s too expensive to eat well!”

It isn’t! You just have to be creative. Here is a dish I dreamed up today. It’s not work intensive and really packs flavour.

Take 40 cocktail meatballs, and put them in a tortilla.

Now add your favourite shredded cheese.

Finish with cilantro and Mexican hot sauce.

What kinda oil you use in your pan? I use safflower for the high smoke point and mild flavour
It is a well seasoned cast iron pan, so I don't always add oil. The base is Crisco. Over time, I've used Canola, Avocado, Grapeseed, butter, and bacon/animal fat, so it's some combination of those. Safflower is a good one to use as well for the same reasons you stated.

You’re too healthy, I’m out

Sheep or cow? You believe in that probiotic stuff?

I eat natural yogurt to every workday breakfast and tried some Greek ones, but the texture doesn't really serve my purposes, too bad.
Dunno. It just says cultured non-fat milk. I go with either Chobani brand or Tillamook. They contain mostly the same bacteria with a couple of differences. I typically buy whichever is cheaper.

My wife likes to buy fresh spices out of the bulk bins at one of the fancy grocery stores. She mixed up some oak-smoked salt, garlic, and pepper to have on hand in he seasoning rack

Tonight I think it’s going to be the seasoning for a whole roasted chicken.

your body is made up of trillions of such things

we are loaded with viruses, bacteria, fungi, germs, micro-organisms etc...

that is the human system we know and enjoy

gut health is incredibly important to health

Yeah I guess that is pretty much common knowledge.

Maybe I didn't word it well, but it sounded to me as if he buys a yogurt that has additives that supposedly improve on that probiotic nature.
We have those products as well, but from what I know of right now it seems to be more marketing than substance, and they don't do anything for the gut flora a normal yogurt wouldn't.
Hence my question.
