Will they go out of business? Why not? If they want to go out of business that's up to them.

What is the baker trying to make the homosexuals do?The funny thing is, this statement applies to both parties.
Maybe, maybe not. That's up to the free market. Government intervention is how gay marriage ended up illegal to begin with. Will they go out of business?
You serious? What is the baker trying to make the homosexuals do?
Yes. You said my statement applies to both parties. You serious?
More like "maybe not". The baker who has gone to the supreme court is not out of business 5 years later.Maybe, maybe not. That's up to the free market. Government intervention is how gay marriage ended up illegal to begin with.
If a baker is told what to do it can be taken as tyrannical. If someone is told they aren't given the same rights and privileges as others (no cake for you), that can also be interpreted as tyranny.Yes. You said my statement applies to both parties.
Maybe I'm not familiar with this, I'll read up on it.
I thought it was the old argument between homo's and cake.
I disagree. If government's didn't get involved with them to being with, we wouldn't need legislation of them now.Discrimination based on sexual orientation, as well as race and a number of other classes, is illegal. I think that's a good thing.
LOL You disagree that discrimination is illegal?I disagree. If government's didn't get involved with them to being with, we wouldn't need legislation of them now.
If you was a massage therapist and a puff walked in would you rub the tension from his arse?More like "maybe not". The baker who has gone to the supreme court is not out of business 5 years later.

Newsflash - not everywhere.LOL You disagree that discrimination is illegal?
Newsflash - it is...
No, I disagreed that it's a good thing. The reason we needed to pass same sex legislation was because the government* wouldn't give equal rights to same sex couples. The reason slavery needed to be ended was because from the outset the government* decided that the bill of rights didn't apply to blacks. The reason that segregation needed to be ended was because the government* had decided that blacks and whites shouldn't be in the same places. The same governments who are now generously giving equality to people are the same ones who took it away to begin with. I could go on, but I'm sure at this point you get the picture.LOL You disagree that discrimination is illegal?
Newsflash - it is...
and that's your right. I wouldn't expect you to hold the same view as someone on the other side of the fence.Well, I disagree with that entirely.
Aren't they? Maybe not in the literal sense, but their options are straight cake, or no cake.No one is shoving a straight cake down their throats.
This statement would also apply to the baker being told to make the cake and reap the profit. If they think that's tyranny, I'd like to send them into a warzone just to get a true sense of tyranny and oppression conveyed properly.
Doesn't it kind of matter with what is being requested?Discrimination based on sexual orientation, as well as race and a number of other classes, is illegal. I think that's a good thing.
Correct.Doesn't it kind of matter with what is being requested?
If a homosexual (or whatever) wanted to buy a box of cookies off the rack and the store wouldn't sell them to him, yeah - I have a problem with that.
If the baker doesn't want to make a throbbing cock cake I kind of see his point with refusing business.
Nah. That's not a world I want to live in.I think if a business wants to discriminate, based on whatever criteria they decide, the gov't should have no say in it.
Black Only lunch counters? good.
White Only country clubs? good.
Straight Only bakeries? good.
the right of free association is a basic human right, and a government is illegitimate if it abridges that right without due process.
i prefer to live in a world of limited government, not limited freedom.Nah. That's not a world I want to live in.
I'm all for limited government, but establishing freedom by limiting freedom doesn't make sense.i prefer to live in a world of limited government, not limited freedom.
so you want people to be free to coerce other people in to doing things under threat of violence?I'm all for limited government, but establishing freedom by limiting freedom doesn't make sense.
Ah I figured they wanted the two Groom figures on them too.I don't think that's an accurate representation of what's happening. In the gay cake story, the baker makes wedding cakes and they put names on them. They specifically refused to put "Tom and Barry" or whatever it was and it was specifically because they were gay.
I said no such thing.so you want people to be free to coerce other people in to doing things under threat of violence?
