LOL I will wait and see, I dont trust anything that was said today until we see it in action, they have went down this road before and now its worse then its ever been.
I don't see how they can back away now after going public with a somewhat solid plan.

Worse than its ever been? How so? The success of their OOC testing prompted the presser.

Unless you are pro-PEDs I don't follow your logic here.

I just finished watching, I'm trying to be critical here but I feel they are going in the right direction. Sure, nothing is settled yet but they made a commitment that they won't be able to get back on without some major backlash. They're committed now, I can't see how they can renege now. As they said, they need to sit down with the current commissions and iron things out, it can't be done overnight.

We'll have in-comp, out-of-comp and random testing. Seems like doing PEDs in the UFC will be russian roulette when this kicks in.

They talked about some finer points that I hadn't considered before, doing this globally isn't easy, there are quite a few hurdles to overcome.

Short of testing all fighters randomly year round globally, I'm not sure what else they can do.

And Zuffa being jury, judge and executioner doesn't sound like a good idea to me, as some people are in favor of.
I agree the testing system sounds good. But it won't mean much if the commissions won't agree to increase the punishments.

I think if the testing system is put in place and in fact catching those its designed to catch, i would hope all the commissions would increase the suspensions to over 2 years. But how hard would it be to have a policy for UFC testing and then say a Bellator. Would there be different policies if Bellator didnt agree to do OOC testing on their dollar

the ufc can add onto any suspension given by the commissions. it's right in the fighter code of conduct that they agree to not use any drugs, or peds. they can do this, but will they?

Thats a good point. Because its gonna take a long time to get this Globally. Brazil has a history of a very laid back stance on PED and to get them to do OOC testing is gonna be a hurdle. I think taking all testing out of the UFC or any MMA org's hands will make it more legit.

Which the UFC pushed for. The commissions didn't start doing OOC out of their good heart, Zuffa is paying for it.

That's true, but according to Epstein, it shouldn't be a problem. It would be pretty weird for Commissions to oppose this tooth and nail when their mission is specifically to deter and punish PED usage.

I still hope they come up with some way to for the UFC and other organizations to pay into a fund that then will be used to test who and whenever, sorta like a yearly membership. That why it doesnt seem one organization has any more control over the purse strings more then the other, that would make this all more accepted

What control do the UFC have in this, seriously? Do you think an organization like USADA are going to be swayed to do what the UFC want?

Well not the USADA no, but the NSAC sure, if the UFC is paying for them to test, then theres room to do exactly like the Jones and Silva fight push back results until the mass millions have been made. If all the testing is turned over to the USADA then i feel alot better about it all. If left up to the commissions not so much.

As i said, i hope it goes in the right direction for the sport of MMA, as for the UFC they have said this before, in fact what was it a few years ago said they were ridding the sport of PEDs and held the same type conference and did little to nothing, I truely hope im wrong but until then its the same string different carrot.

Vada-Testing.org Great if @UFC helps commissions expand testing, but many fights held w/o commission oversight? Must have transparency. Lot's of ???'s remain
