Sure. If people are stupid.
Stupid is as stupid does.

When/if it crashes, people buying at the top will lose their ass.

No different than any stock. It went up. It can certainly come down.
I'm just repeating what I saw them fancy news folk saying. But if I understand this correctly, there's a lot of people buying a little bit of stock, correct? So if (when) it tanks, if I get in at $300 and buy a whopping 2 shares to play along, I'm out $600. Which is what I'm under the impression of what's happening. Unless people are actually putting everything they have into it. Which would not be wise, even to a simpleton like me.

Yes. That's their strategy. A bunch of small orders placed higher than the market to increase price share.

But I'm sure some folks are going heavy. I saw some dude post that he made 3.8 million yesterday.

But the news folks and the brokers acting like they give a single fuck about the retail buyers is a crock of shit. It's about control - and right now they have none.

Our economic team, including Secretary Yellen and others, are monitoring the situation. It's a good reminder, though, that the stock market isn't the only measure of the health of our economy,

I have a friend in a whale group. The crypto guys have such big pots that they legitimately manipulate the market and they do it for fun. They don't care about people's life savings, they make memes about it and laugh about destroying people.

Anyway, he told me what they're planning and this is going to get worse/funnier. It's now a war and I think we'll see more hedge funds go under.
