Got another TV you could try your potato on?
Cameras have a flash. Living rooms have lights.God damn,it`s too damn dark in the living room right now (after 7.00)
It`s fucking dark in here.
I`m not so sure on how to use the flash as bad as that sounds.

Many(most/all) of them do have driver installs that need to happen first. Some of the “HD” versions will only support 720 or 1080(I or P in different versions). Others can support 4K/120Hz. So it’ll depend on what he has & what he’s trying to pass through it.USB is a bitch. Super finicky. Might be a driver issue. Port itself might have an issue. Might be some display settings you need to mess with. Would be much easier if it's HDMI to HDMI. Did you just buy the USB to HDMI adapter? Is it supposed to be plug and play? Does it support your version of Windows? Does it have instructions? Can you google the model of the adapter and see if there is a driver to install or ask chatgpt for things to try/settings to modify.
He's already mentioned switching the input of his TV to HDMI3, so he's done that. It would be nice to know:A lot of times there is an "INPUT" button on your remote that allows you to select which port to receive signal from.
I can plug multiple devices into the back of my TV like a USB stick or a ROKU device. Then when I hit the INPUT button it brings up a menu allowing me to select which signal to watch.
