Could some one give a cliff notes on that thread? I caught it towards the end but it seemed like lots of different things were going on there.
I wanted to know if Banchan was in fact a girl and told her about the f/the og sign rule. She's being cagey about posting a full face pic (do you blame her?) but we get some boobs, some toes and a pretty mouth. She goes so far and records some quote about lollipops and posts a link. I'm sold, so I masturbate and go to sleep.
I wake of the next morning, and there are 400 posts. It appeared that Mountain Medic, who may or may not have been drinking, has gotten into a heated debate with poster Sierra Grizzly, asserting that he is a pedophile. He's 100 percent sure this guys a shitbag. He's seriously laying into this guy, but then he mysteriously and suddenly (MM) vanishes. Sierra Grizzly is still defending himself to the other posters that MM was out of line and that, of course, he wasn't some pedo... somehow everybody who wasn't a racist, a moderator gone crazy, a purvy green name (represent by myself) an actual pedophile and a Korean girl, decided that they all wanted to fight each other.
Meanwhile, a poster called Jesus is Ghey starts aggressively attacking and insulting Banchan for being Korean. Some of the most insulting filth I've ever heard. It's going on for pages, so I pm a mod to nuke the thread in what I intended to be an act of unacknowledged white knighting that resulted, later, in Nukecrawler's eventually destroying what in the end, could have been the Sistine Chapel of threads. Whoops, sorry.
The day progresses with Sierra Grizzly talking to some people about how MM is full of shit (apparently MM is somehow tied to the FBI or an agent and claims "he has the case numbers") but the OG detectives get on the case and start comparing this guys beliefs, posting syntax, and join date to the banning of a KNOWN pedophile RuthlessRye. The evidence reaches a tipping point. Everybody chipping in, posting quotes, asking this guy questions and rightfully sharpening their pitchforks. When he knows he is outed, he runs away, but his posts remained, for a while. Through the night, Jesus is Ghey is still taunting Banchan and everybody slowly puts together that SG is the pedo we ran off before.
Everybody that wanted to fight the night before had seemingly agreed to a truce and laughed it off as drunken shenanigans except forum enforcer 6latehammerfists, who is about 6' 9" 310lbs of lean muscle, travels for work, and will knock anybody out for at least 30 seconds. Most people have caught on to the schtick. Enter Dryfly: The 01er lurker from the mountains of Utah that has invited 6late out to fight him, in the middle of know where and what sounds like should be a set for the next True Detective. He goes out, buys a phone, gives 6late the number, it's fucking creepy. If anyone visits Dryfly, tell people where you were going. Dude seems pretty serious. He emails 6late the number to this burner cell phone and 6late posts it on the thread.
As this is escalating in what could be a great troll job or an actual murder, another guy, hanhill or something, shows up, and starts berating Banchan again obsessively about being a ladyboy and all that. It is apparent that they are the same guy. He has 30 posts, a day old join date, and he doing one thing and that is obsessively attacking the new girl, who for all intensive porpoises is doing a fine job defending herself. I have to sleep sometime, but it's more of the same. Hanhill stalking Banchan and 6late trolling Dryfly into buying industrial drums and lye for his visitor. I can only guess this escalated through the night, but Nukecrawler got my messege this morning and pulled the plug. It went from 100 to 800 to 900 to 1100 posts and counting before it was turned to dust.
So in short. I innocently sought potential phonebone from new girl, everybody goes crazy, I tell a mod to delete it in an heroic attempt at white knighting, a pedo is outed, a stalker is banned twice, a troll was setting up a situation where he was about to be murdered, and just when it was REALLY getting good, the mod deletes it.
Does that about cover it? Sorry to bring so much joy and have it dashed on the rocks where we can never live it again. I was gonna be chasing dem nudez from the second I learned she was a girl, hilarity ensued, and I destroyed something beautiful in a misdirected effort at white kniting.
