My best VA mate and her husband are from Syracuse, hence I ended up Bills. She's a Pats fan and I couldn't bring myself to do that but he's Bills and the atmosphere in the Bills bar was so awesome I got caught up with it.
Aaaaaand watching the Brooklyn 99 Secret Santa episode coincidentally.
Oh sweet. I'm actually a Dallas fan. (my first real game as a child was getting to stay up for the first Dallas Bills Superbowl and the winner got my fandom) but man do the Buffalo fans go hard.
I just played a gig at an Irish bar in Syracuse last week.

I'm glad I wasn't a Bills fan back then with the run of Superbowl tries we had. Seeing the pisstake highlight reel in the buildup show last year nearly killed me I'd've been having murders if I'd experienced that hope at the time. I know my place as a Bills fan, I get slightly hopeful about the wild card but I don't go crazy when we don't. That said I did knock my phone off the table a few weeks ago with Bills angst and cracked it a week or so after I got it in angst because we were being stupid but I'm more calm this stage of the season.
