You've written a book? How awesome! That reminds me; if you know of any guys who would be good at giving feedback on the authenticity of "dance scenes" ( and obviously other aspects of the book) from guys perspective, let me know. I am looking for feedback from guys on what i wrote in my book. And since you have not given me feedbacck yet pprobably too cool to read my book , or maybe because there are no swords in that book ), i need to seek opinions of those who can read it and not be put off by fantasy, adult content, supernatural powers, good amount of "dancing", and it being a first novel i wrote (i have so much to learn).
A chick flick Amish book? Or dungeons and dragons, or Kafka type shit?I have .
Thanks
well... Honestly, i was never into anything "chick flicky" (i get annoyed with that stuff, and that just does not do anything for me, and it usually as no action that i like and there is never enough sex to keep me interested).A chick flick Amish book? Or dungeons and dragons, or Kafka type shit?
May I recommend The Metamorphosis. It's a little novella written about 100 years ago. If you have the timeAs for Kafka stuff, i dont remember ever seeing or reading anything based on his works
Not enough of an issue to keep you from writing though? Finishing a book is a big deal. I have made many attempts but my hang up was that English is my second language. I've created characters, plot lines in the past but never did anything with it. I love reading and writing, and I love the English language.Part of my issue is that, as an author i see my book from my own perspective and am not able to be objective enough for my standard
I've read scifi/fantasy books where the intimate scenes were rather explicit, and it can work, absolutely. The book has xxx explicit sex scenes but also an actual plot that makes it not fit in "erotica". But it has a love story component too, however i do see it as more kinky than sappy.
This sounds all very good. I was always concerend with world building, etc. when taking on global elements.A girls discovers that she has been reincarnated into an immortal Family of Soul Travelers who are plotting to overturn a rival Family that has been leading humanity to destroy itself. She is one of the key people who has to lead the fight, but in order to do that she has to get her shit together. At the end of the book (which is leading to second book) she has to make a choice between going a peaceful route or showing no mercy and choosing a route of brutality, slaughter and ruthlessness to get shit done.
wow. i have totally forgotten about The Metamorphosis. I have read it (i think i audio-booked it) when i was in college. It was quite strange but fascinating.May I recommend The Metamorphosis. It's a little novella written about 100 years ago. If you have the time

So then you have actually finished and published this book? If so, hat off to you. It's on my bucket list.
I'd be willing to read if published, I often pick up lesser known books from starting authors.
Same here. My native language is slipping from me. But lived most of my life there.but i just dont see myself writing in any other language than English
Yeah, I like how those type of books teach you a lot about writing and story telling. Like a Vonnegut for example.i have totally forgotten about The Metamorphosis. I have read it (i think i audio-booked it) when i was in college. It was quite strange but fascinating.
Liked and subscribed. Great video, keep up the good work. We've got some more Youtubers on here.wow. i have totally forgotten about The Metamorphosis. I have read it (i think i audio-booked it) when i was in college. It was quite strange but fascinating.
You mention that English is not your first language... that is the same for me, but i just dont see myself writing in any other language than English ( been here most of my life).
In my first book (and it will be a series of three or four books), i only hint on the global element. So it is not the regular in-your-face issue that is ever present. My rationalization behind showing it up front is that we have things that need our attention, however, we may struggle with owning up to our responsibilities and commitment to those thing. But situations dont go away just because we are avoiding them, and sooner or later we need to suck it up and face it head on. I use the first book to lead into the "battle" and to show that there is a human component behind "heroes" who sometimes do not want to be a hero in the first place.
If i can give you some advice: please dont stop writing you book. this is the video i made for those who are thinking about writing a book
