Yeah, you have to wonder if there's an amount set that hungry fighters agree to in their shamrock contracts. Would be interesting to get some details and see how it plays out.I'm glad to see things like this. I think focusing on being the place for up & comers will do well for Bellator.
Over-spending for past prime guys isn't doing it
Good to see them making adjustments
They sign young talent all the time, it just doesn't get the same press or attention as a Cro Cop signing does.I'm glad to see things like this. I think focusing on being the place for up & comers will do well for Bellator.

^ that's just in the FW division.
All this deal with ShamrockFC will do is add to an already growing list of young stars.
Without those name guys, no one's gonna pay attention.I know, but you missed the point
That needs to be what they do and not over-spend on past names.
Instead of it being part of the game plan, it might be better if it is the game plan, since the big names were the major reason they were in the red.
Losing millions by over-spending for guys that don't move the needle enough to justify the pay & thus making the company be in the red is not a way to run a business.Without those name guys, no one's gonna pay attention.
If they headlined a card with Rafael Lovato Jr vs John Salter, I know two things for a fact. 1) It would be a great, relevant fight in the MW division, with the winner in line to face Mousasi for the title. 2) No one would watch, because only the hardcore fans know who those guys are.
