Lebron is a monster, but my vote will always be MJ. He was too good in too many areas. If not for the death of his dad and baseball he would've had 8 straight. The players today are for more athletic than in Jordan's day, but they are mostly bitches. They flop and cry every time they are touched. Jordan was a scoring machine despite behind help on the perimeter and knowing that he would get assaulted in the lane.

Solid post, but ask yourself , would MJ have won a single ring iwth No Pippen? Pippen is the greatest defender of alltime, he could guard anyone from a PG to a Center at an elite level, Bulls won on defense, year in year out they where either 1 or 2 in total defense. MJ was a fine defender, but Pip was an entire level above him on defense, people don't get what a difference it makes having Pippen shoulder such a load.
Plus on offense Pippen was ahead of his time, dude was the point guard on offense half the game. Ron Harper was a shutdown guard during his later career on the Bulls, Harper could defend. Rodman for those last 3 titles was easily greatest rebounder ever.
Then you got Lebron taking a shit team to the finals with Eric Snow as his best player and this year took a team to the finals with one really good player, Kevin Love and crap like JR Smith in the lineup. Yet MJ never could even get to the finals until Pip got there.

I agree with you. Lebron has been under pressure since he was 15 and had a franchise on his back since he was 18. He has never been in the news for doing dumb shit or being a criminal. He’s a very solid role model, always says the right things, and makes his team better. Some of the teams he has carried to the finals were laughable. He could’ve grabbed a couple random fans from the stands and got as much help. His career is nothing short of amazing.
You make another great point. Jordan didn’t win without Pippen. I will also add that Pippen didn’t win without him. Both great players individually and very complimentary games for one another. I will admit that i am extremely biased. I probably had more Jordan shit on my walls than any kid in history. I still have some Jordan stuff. There were many players i enjoyed, but no one ever took it to the next level (for me) like Jordan. For that reason i will admit that even if Lebron wins 5 more championships and owns every individual record possible, i will still have a hard time admitting he’s better than Jordan. We never want to see our heroes dethroned.

Magic and Larry Bird played with a starting 5 just about entirely of hall of famer, they where drafted on stacked teams and back then free agency was not like today, so you could stack teams easier.
If Magic played wtih the talent equivalent of JR Smith and Tristan Thompson and Kevin Love as his best players in LA, Magic would have left LA at some point.

Lebron does exponentially more for his team than MJ ever did. This team Lebron took to the finals was a lottery team, MJ never took a team that shitty to the finals, when MJ had less talent around him he was losing ever year. MJ did not even win a title until he was 28 or 29.
Also, the year MJ retired, and Pippen was the lead horse, the Bulls still went 57 and 25 the next year without MJ even on the team. This Cavs team would have won about 15 to 22 games this year with no Lebron.

Sorry you are simply wrong. Lebron is a better rebound, better passer, better shot blocker, and is even average more PPG in the playoffs than MJ did.

Lebron's numbers elsewhere in the stats are a product of his confusion over whether he's playing Point or Power forward when he's supposed to be the SF. Jordan was a pure 2 and was better on defense. Lebron is basically the modern Oscar Robertson, which sounds nice, but didn't always get it done.

Lebron is a way way way better passer, better rebounder, better shot blocker, and more versatile player. Jordan had the better mid range jump shot and better 3 point shot, but it was only by a slight margin, whereas Lebron is just as good an overall scorer and has now passed MJ in most key playoff stats.
Lebron also never got to play with anyhone like Scottie Pippen, MJ with no Scottie has no rings in my view.
