As expected, the conservatives take no Ls. I have to say, I admire the GOP's dedication to holding the line. They practice a unique style of politics and have for awhile. They really learned from the failures of 2006 and 2008 and came up with a strategic posture that would get them what they want and keep them in power. Their handling of this whole SCOTUS process, from bringing Kennedy back home to Kavanaugh's nomination to now has been a case study in how to use the majority to your advantage. And this is after people were expecting them to be dead in the water and maybe finished as a party on Election night 2016! There have been numerous projects on the political right to reconfigure American institutions from the bottom up in their image and it's hard not to judge the project as a success. I'm fascinated to see when their luck will run out and how.

CNN were showing a live shot of the protestors outsides and there was some random guy walking around with a huge grin and a sign that says "I LOVE BEER". Gave me a good laugh. At least he was entertaining about it.

It's a two sided sign - the front side says "I LIKE BEER" and the other side is red and says "WE JUST KEEP WINNING" lmao and he's walking right in the middle of the crowd.
