What’s funny is, this post exemplifies one of Owens talking points. You cant have an opinion that differs from the radical left, or you’re immediately labeled. Respectfully debate? Agree to disagree? Nah, fuck that.

One of the many reasons i respect kneeblock @Kneeblock so much. He presents an opinion, debates it respectfully, tries to educate, but doesn’t attack anyone if they disagree.

So what am I kwing? A hypocrite? Racist? Nazi? Label me brother. And don’t use dumb redneck, because I’ve already labeled myself that here many times here. That one is taken.
Ah ah ah.... nope, you don't get to change the topic and play butt hurt.
I asked you very specific questions, and I didn't attack you, or call you any of those names.

Answer those questions if you want honest conversation. They are designed to make you think about what you posted.

I did answer. Kanye’s music sucks. I never paid him much attention before the media got all butthurt about him & Trump. I still don’t pay him much attention unless he comes up on one of my social media feeds.

Yes, I consider myself an asset to my community.

And I’m still mucho in love with Candance Owens.

Kanye is one the greatest of our generation.
College Dropout. GOAT STATUS!!!
A widespread critical success, The College Dropout was praised for West's production, humorous and emotional raps, and the music's balance of self-examination and mainstream sensibilities. It earned the rapper several accolades including a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album at the 47th Grammy Awards. It has since been named by Time, Rolling Stone, and other publications as one of the greatest albums of all time.

One of the greatest whats, you racist

A poet and a patriot...

Inter century anthems based off inner city tantrums
Based off the way we was branded
Face it, Jerome get more time than Brandon
And at the airport they check all through my bag
And tell me that it’s random

Crack, raised the murder rate in D.C. and Maryland
We, invested in that, it’s like we got Merrill Lynched
And we been hangin from the same tree, ever since

My point was simple. And it will show when you answer the other question you still haven't answered.
  • If Candace Owens in a month, or a year decided one day to renounce conservatism and become a 'liberal'.. would you still consider an 'asset to the black community'? Would you still "love her"?
  • Furthering my points; Is Michelle Obama an 'asset to the black community'? Is Oprah?
  • Even further re: my other point - do you see how labeling African Americans as "the black community" is reductive
    - No one uses "the white community" but some how in this country the reverse is common and somehow okay.
    - You don't see white people labeled the 'white community' in African countries where whites live, or 'the farang community' in Thailand or 'the gaijin community' in Japan.
See my point yet? If you answer these questions thoughtfully, you'll get it, and see why your post was casually dismissive.

There's almost too much happening in one of my favorite lyrics ever...

I'm Kan, the Louis Vuitton Don
Bought my mom a purse, now she Louis Vuitton Mom
I ain't play the hand I was dealt, I changed my cards
I prayed to the skies and I changed my stars
I went to the malls and I balled too hard
"Oh my god, is that a black card?"
I turned around and replied, "Why yes
But I prefer the term African American Express"
Brains, power, and muscle, like Dame, Puffy, and Russell
Your boy back on his hustle, you know what I've been up to
Killin y'all niggas on that lyrical shit
Mayonnaise-colored Benz, I push Miracle Whips

Yes, I think Michelle Obama is a tremendous asset to the black community, and she did tremendous work with children while First Lady. Think she’s sexy too. But do I agree with her political positions? Fuck no.

Oprah is worthless. Rich, made one hell of a life for herself, built an empire, employed and helped a lot of people. But i wouldn’t trust her as far as I could throw her fat ass.

Would I think Owen was still intelligent, beautiful, and a future leader if she jumped to the left? Yes. Would I respect her if she started pushing the lies and agenda that Schumer, Pelosi, Clinton do? Hell no.

And why you jumping my ass for saying black community? Sheesh, is that racist now? Black leaders and the media use the term repeatedly. Jump their ass.

Bravo! See what nuanced discourse can get us? Okay we're getting somewhere. My point is that political affiliation is not a determinant of whether one is an asset or not. And yes, she'd get it.

Oprah is worthless. Rich, made one hell of a life for herself, built an empire, employed and helped a lot of people. But i wouldn’t trust her as far as I could throw her fat ass.
Now... wtf? She built one hell of a life for herself, yes, and helped a lot of people, and is one of the most charitabe donors. So I'm not sure how all that plus becoming a self-made billionaire, is "worthless"???
(Also, I suggest taking a closer look at her titties).

And why you jumping my ass for saying black community? Sheesh, is that racist now? Black leaders and the media use the term repeatedly. Jump their ass.
... *sigh* And we were doing so well..... I didn't say anything about it being 'racist'. The media and "black leaders" (lol again - wtf is a 'black leader'? Where da 'white leaders' at?) are stupid for using the term, ..... and I DO jump on their asses for saying it. These terms are 'worthless' if they are not used equally - which again, is my point. No-one in the mythical "black community" monlithically follows "black leaders" any more than people in "the white community" (doesn't that sound retarded?) follow "white leaders". Individuals are not monolithic groupthinkers and those labels suggest otherwise.

Oprah hangs out with people like Harvey Weinstein, and other rich white elites, while claiming suppression, etc. In MY opinion, she knows the game and plays it very well. My guess is Oprah couldn’t give a flying fuck about what’s going on in the inner cities, schools, prisons, etc. She seems just fine with how things are right now and have been for a very long time. She can be as charitable to groups in Africa and whatever other countries she wants...she’s full of shit IMO, and I think that would get exposed if she ever chose to run.

I'm pretty sure that Oprah would respond like this

"So many questions and they ask me if I'm still down
I moved up out of the ghetto, so I ain't real now?
They got so much to say, but I'm just laughin' at cha
You niggas just don't know, but I ain't mad at cha"

ISSUES:

OPRAH’S ANGEL NETWORK: Oprah’s Angel Network was established in 1998, and started with a plea to her viewers to donate their change, as well as their time. The initial ask raised $3.5 million, which was given away in the form of 150 $25,000 scholarships, and got 15,000 volunteers to build homes for Habitat for Humanity. Before the organization stopped accepting donations in 2010, it had raised more than $80 million, all of which was donated to charitable causes, as Winfrey personally covered the network’s administrative costs. At least $11 million of that went to relief efforts for hurricanes Katrina and Rita, and Oprah herself kicked in another $10 million on top. The network also helped build 60 schools in 13 countries, and provided books and uniforms. Much of the work once conducted through the Angel Network is now being handled by the Oprah Winfrey Charitable Foundation.

EDUCATION: According to Forbes, Winfrey had given away approximately $400 million to educational causes by 2012, including nearly 400 scholarships to Morehouse College, and more than $40 million in operating support for the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy in South Africa. She’s also given at least $10 million to A Better Chance. Its mission is to improve access to quality education for students of color, and has given $1 million or more to at least nine different charter school organizations in a number of different areas throughout the country. Mentoring programs have also received support.

ARTS & CULTURE: Winfrey has donated $12 million to the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture, and $1 million to the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center. The National Council of Negro Women has received $2.5 million, and Millennium Park in Chicago has received $1 million.

HUMANITARIAN: In addition to her giving in education and support for Habitat for Humanity, Winfrey has made several significant contributions to Save the Children.

ENVIRONMENT: In 2006, Oprah gave $1 million to the Green Belt Movement International for tree planting and community development initiatives in Africa.

HEALTH: Winfrey’s health giving via their foundation has recently supported places like International Brain Research Foundation.

LOOKING FORWARD: Winfrey has endowed her charitable foundation with nearly $240 million in assets over the last several years. Though most of the money that has flowed out the door so far has gone to support her Leadership Academy in South Africa, it appears as though she is beginning to build a more robust foundation, so chances are we’ll see a more diversified grantmaking portfolio in the next several years.

A lot of that has been in the US... I'm not a fan of her politics but I wouldn't choose to blast her philanthropic efforts either.

In all seriousness though, candance makes a hell of a lot of sense in one of those videos that I posted. She asks where is all of this racial divide we hear about on the news and social media, because she never experiences it in her personal life. And she walks the listeners thru her day, and how she interacted with people of various races & there was no tension, no arguments, no divide.

Same here. This weekend I went to a football game and probably interacted with about 50 people of various gender and race. From the ladies working the ticket booth, to people working concessions, to other mom & dads in the stands, the police officers managing traffic, the kids, etc. Everyone was kind and cordial to one another. No issues or drama at all. Just living life.

Then some kids from the neighborhood came over yesterday to jump on the trampoline. Two white, one black, one Asian. I told them all, have fun. Talked to them, all sweet kids.

Then my wife and I went to lunch. A black woman held the door for my wife as we walked in. Thank you, you’re welcome, and smiles exchanged. People of all races sitting around one another, enjoying a meal. No drama, no violence. Just living life.

I’ll visit a customer this week and work closely with an black friend of mine that I’ve known for 20+ years. Been to his house on many occasions, know his wife and kids, one of the most brilliant engineering minds I’ve met. We’ll probably have dinner, discuss work, our families, football, etc.

Hell, we all interact on here. And while we may disagree and call one another names behind the screen, we’d all still be here for one another if one of us was in need. Right?

So where is all of this racial divide CNN and others are trying to scare us with? Because I literally never experience it.
