I hate the idea that his power is unlimited because it’s based on anger. Who says anger is infinite though? There’s a point where you’re just mad and can’t get any madder imho.

And yes it was stupid for Thor not to put an infinity stone in Mjonir.
Ronin stuck it on his hammer, Thor should be able to stick one or 6 on Stormbreaker.
Keep in mind in spider man homecoming, Happy Hogan(Jon Favreu) was transporting Thor's magic belt, which doubles his power.
It's got to make an appearance somewhere.

I thought is just doubled his strength but maybe that’s the mythological version.
And I would assume guys like Odin and Thor could hold an infinity stone but what do I know. If Thanos can do it then Odin could for sure.
But they really needed all of Asgard and the Asgardians in the MCU so who knows

Well Loki never wielded one that wasn’t in a device, Starlord is half celestial in the MCU and was disintegrating and I think Ronan had to put it in his hammer so he didn’t also disintegrate.If Loki, Ronan and fucking Starlord can hold one, you can bet Thor can

Post Civil War, Thor Returns to earth and spanks Ironman for making an inferior and evil clone of the Thunder God with out his permission:
Starlord was barely more than human at that point. Even Red Skull held the cosmic cube.

I thought the tesseract hurled him into space when he touched it and I interpreted things like the Tesseract and Loki’s Chitauri Staff to be objects to harness the stones power and not harm the user like how Ronan used his hammer. I also thought the Novacorps bitch said Starlord’s weird ancient DNA probably helped him survive and still he needed the combined strengths of Groot, Gamora and Drax (plus rocket lulz) to wield it which while not as impressive in the movies, would be an extremely powerful trio in the comics.
Either way by “but what do I know” I was just joking about how nerfed Thor is in the MCU and apparently can’t do lots of things I think he can.

Thor 2: Lets the dark elves escape despite having just killed his mom, and pines over a mortal while friend zoning Sif.
Avengers 1: Stops kicking Tony's ass because Cap says so. Gets tricked into a trap and stabbed by Loki like a clown.
Avengers 2: Does like 4 combo moves with Cap for no reason, then flies off to a bathhouse because the 3rd Olsen twin and Clint's daughter scared him.

Thor 1 was an incredible movie. I mean, it was basically Hamlet with superpowers. Or The Lion King. Thor was unbeatable, easily crushed an army of Frost Giants, a frost monster and the Destroyer.
Thor 2 was shit.
Thor 3 was good and he beat up Hulk without Mjolnir.
Thor in Avengers 1 was neutered. In Avengers 2 he was similarly useless but did tank a city falling on him. He was nails in Infinity War.

Thor 3: Kind of a pussy after losing Mjolnir, getting tasered repeatedly (WTF?) until he realized the hammer was like Dumbo's feather, then pretty fucking badass.
Avengers 3: Beaten down by power stone Thanos and friends immediately after fighting Hela, but survives the destruction of his ship and presumably a lengthy period of time in space, eats a star like a sandwich while flexing, summons the bifrost, and nearly kills full gauntlet Thanos with one shot.
Not bad.

Let's break this down.
Dark World was THE BEST of the 3 Thor movies.
He was older, wiser, darker, less gingered like @Miesha's Taint , more badass.
1 had the best soundtrack and best intro.
3 was the one Taiki Waititi turned him into a fucking teenage comedian, lots of laughs, lots of corny, lots of visuals, definitely the one you watch multiple times.
But Dark World?
- King Boar crushing the armies of the Dark Elves
- Malekith re-awakened by the Red Aether aka Reality stone
- The Cursed One, unstoppable beast
- Loki's first death, subsequently Thor(Hemsworth's)best acting.
- Frieda kicked Malekiths ass, then killed and given the Asgardian memorial to Valhalla
- Dark Elves resurrected, slipping past Heimdall for the sttack on Asgard
- We got to see the breadth of Asgard, including it's defenses
- Odin blasting through fools
- Loki in prison, the Cursed breaking out
- Heimdall betraying the throne.
- Another portal
- "YOU'RE BIRTH RITE, WAS TA DIE!"
It wasn't great, but it was good.
There's something wrong with everyone and I pray to the Allfathers the veils will be lifted from your eyes.
