Did you think legolas' eyes looked bluer in the hobbit movies than they did in the Lord of the rings movies?

If you had to pick between either 1 arm or leg being 10 inches longer than the other which would you pick?

Do you think Roberto Duran really knocked out a horse when he was only 14 years old?
I haven't seen the Hobbit movies. I think I had enough of how sunlight spilling over the shire is worth fighting for in the three LoTR. Legolas' eyes are awfully blue in those, though.

Longer arm. Better reach. But if I was a sailor I'd maybe want the longer leg.

Too many variables to say. Did Duran use a sledgehammer? Is 14 old for a horse?

Do you have chirren? If not, do you want to or nah? Why?
Yep, I have a son. He's starting kindergarten in a couple of weeks. Love him devotedly but want no others. I'm not a gambler by nature.

Is it weird that I am 5' 11'' 170 pounds and sometimes wear men's small t-shirts?
Depends on the shirt. There are some shirts that demand to be worn. My thuggy uncle used to wear one with the Ayatollah on it. That shit would get you renditioned today.

What tv/movie character do you believe does the best job of painting a fairly accurate portrait of who you are?
As a child I wanted to be like those laconic smartass types, though in real life I look considerably like the stupid puppet gelfling from The Dark Crystal. But truthfully I'm most like Gordie from Stand By Me: small, dark-eyed, anxious enough to check for the train that everyone says isn't coming. More an observer than a participant in life, the chronicler of my more charismatic and emotional and wholeheartedly living friends. Would not hesitate to shoot advancing psychopath in swamp.

Fucking A I'm glad you came back Priziesthorse @Priziesthorse.

FeeO @FeeO, Favorite book/movie/TV series?
I'm glad those two crazy kids came back too! Not the same without them.

I've tried many times to settle on a favourite book and can't. I read a lot. Mostly they all run together. Slaughterhouse-Five, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, Blonde, and In Cold Blood stick out in my memory. Best biography I've read is Malcolm X: A Life of Reinvention.

Movies, same thing. GoodFellas is the one I'm powerless to resist being sucked into if I see a clip of it anywhere. South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut made me laugh so helplessly in the theatre that I missed everything from "Uncle Fucker" on and had to rewatch it. Repo Man is a sentimental favourite.

TV? The Sopranos is the one I think of most, though the ending to Six Feet Under was probably the most satisfying I've ever seen even though it's so manipulative. I reference Aqua Teen Hunger Force way too much in non-ironic ways.

Do you give thought to self sustainability?
Prepping, gardening, organics, alternative energy and such?

Thx
Yeah, some. I like gardening and eating stuff I've grown. I live in a sunny climate (ugh) so if I was to build my own house I'd want solar panels. I have a big basement, so I keep some extra water down there. But as a very small woman I'm under few illusions about how much I can actually rely on myself for survival should society collapse. And I really hate canning.

If you became a man for 24 hours, how would you spend the day?
It looks like Luke Rockhold's got the right idea. I'd be a hot surfing cage-fighter who gropes tigers and poses so as to best show off my dubious junk.

Guys, I must apologize for this I try to tune it down for your own well being but SOB I am just to damn good looking and there is only so much I can do.

Since it's already been established on this board that I, H F'n G, am the most Alpha of Alpha here and that I am a married man and not available, which one of these guys would have a shot of getting a date with you OR . . . since my Mojo is sooooooo strong has it ruined any chance they every would have had?

I did have a thought, keep in mind it might not be perfect but it's the best I can do. . . . what if I had an HG mask made that they could wear?
I was never any good at dating. It had so many weird expectations and insecurities that hindered natural conversation and development of authentic mutual interest. Fuck dating, it was boring and awkward and unsexy. What I would like to do is rent some hall or something and we all meet up, get drunk, watch a massive fight card, and talk like we do here. Maybe do some karaoke.

With all the intellectuals we have posting here which one would you like to go to dinner with AND be willing to pick up the tab?

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
The girls. They're amazing. We could meet up with all you dudes later for drinking, fights, and karaoke but I'm only opening my wallet for MelE5150 and the Coconut Gal.

Close your eyes, and imagine a world of your creation, can you describe it?
I can never tell if I'm a kind or severe person. Well, I'd like lots of water and greenery. I live in a semi-arid climate and it doesn't work, let me tell you, with this pasty skin. Basically the whole world would be like Vancouver, where I used to live, only it wouldn't cost you a million dollars for a condo.

Generalized school would last until your own unique talents and interests were identified and then you'd receive further free schooling specific to those skills and desires. Free health and food. Sex work legal, drugs legal; some regulated medically but accessible, some open to purchase.

Communication would flow between living things the way people say it does in good mushroom trips.

Gleeful sadism is somehow obsolete. No whining either. "Hotel California" and "More than Words" banned from public areas.

Do you still cheat on your husband? If yes, why? If no, why not?
Not so far. He's a pretty good dude. If our marriage was at the point I was seriously considering it-- or he was-- I'd want to either re-negotiate terms of fidelity or split, but I don't have what it takes to live a second life. That said, I do think monogamy, commitment and infidelity is approached unrealistically in our culture.

What did you want to be as a little girl growing up? What changed your mind?
Spiderman, when I was 4. My grandmother told me that the goofy rerun cartoons weren't real. I was crushed.

Never had career aspirations, really, except writing. Mostly I just wanted to find a way to make sense of life, why it seemed so easy for other people to navigate and connect emotionally while I always felt like some replicant.

Do you ever get whored up and go out to bars/clubs just to boost your ego?
I like pubs better, because drinking and talking and music together in the right measure is magic. When I went to bars and clubs I'd get done up, sure, but as a sort of disguise, or defense. That's what it felt like. Mostly I'd play pool and badger the DJ with unsuitable requests.

I notice there is more participation and engagement from women on this board. What is it about The MMA Community that makes it feel like a worthwhile space to enhage with in an era where many online communities are under fire for how alienating they can be?

There isn't a sense of general contempt here. I'm sure you can earn scorn pretty quickly, male or female, if you act like a fool, but there's not that sense of fresh meat when you show up, like everyone's just waiting to rip you up, and that does go double if you're female, often. There's basic respect here, a high standard for intelligence, debate, and humour.

But I do think some people have an unrealistic and controlling idea of what a forum or the internet should be like. Some posters who are going to feel alienated everywhere because they want to sanitize what others say or look at or believe. Some people want to be rejected into martyrdom, and it's particularly encouraged in women to see victimization everywhere, which I find an oddly sexist and disempowering thing in itself.

This forum scores very high, for me, on respect for reason.
