I too rewatched Shaun of the Dead recently and realized that the other chick (the one from The Office) is the fatty in Wonder Woman.

7.5
Good acting by a solid cast and solid story by the guy that wrote In Bruges.
Was hoping for more out of the ending but it left me even more curious about the characters and storyline.

Oh I forgot

I think the last movie I watched was that 3 billboards in ebbing Missouri.

Very good

8.5/10
What'd you think of the ending? I see why they ended it the way they did but was really hoping for a clear conclusion.

i was fairly disappointed in that. It made me want to learn the real story, which was thoroughly disappointing.

The Green Book: 9/10

superior acting, writing, cinemetography. Not preachy, even though the setting might make you think it's going to be about privilege or social justice...just an amazing 'odd-couple' story involving some truly amazing people.

15 minutes in and it's already a 9/10, just for getting Soundwave's voice right, & bleeding beautiful & simultaneously cringy 1987.

Spider verse- 8.5/10
I’m not a comic book/action movie fan. I’ve never even seen any of the Spider-Man films but I was hearing so many good things about this movie I decided to check it out. I thought it was awesome. Visually it was like nothing I’d ever seen. It was beautiful to watch. The action scenes are incredible. Work of art.

The Sisters brothers (a crime/drama western)
8.0/10

John C Reilly
Joaquin Phoenix
Jake Gyllenhaal
Riz Ahmed

Good Story; can't pack that much talent in a movie and not squeeze out at least a 7:

Phoenix & Reilly are the notorious Sisters brothers, sent on a mission by their employer the commodore(Rutger Hauer)to hunt down an alchemist who believes he's found the formula to fast-tracking the California gold rush. Set in 1851.

I've been meaning to watch this one so thanks for the reminder. Glad it was a good watch.

Not the biggest Reilly fan and I can't stand Gyllenhaal, so I'm really hoping Phoenix carries it. I liked Riz Ahmed in that HBO series The Night Of.

Gave it a 3.5/10 because that's about how far I made it through before I had to turn that shit off.

Mortal Engines 6.5

Good special effects, decent action adventure movie, but felt like it needed to be longer to tell the story it wanted to tell. Would have been better as a tv series.

Keep in mind that many (most?) Oscar nominated movies are worse than 7/10, including some best film winners.

I knew I knew him from something but couldn't place him and too lazy to look him up. I think that was Amazon Prime not HBO. He was great in that as was John T.

I also watched the Sisters Brothers. I thought it was a bit long in the tooth.

Bullitt
(1968)

Steve McQueen is as cool as ever. The jazzy soundtrack throughout the film worked for me. And of course the car chase scene is one of the best ever put on film.

But the movie itself fell a little short. Not a ton of substance.

6/10
Overrated. Save yourself some time and just watch the car chase.

Parents enable pedophile to abuse their kid. Movie really glosses over the role of the LDS church.

I just rate it a "yes" because I'm a sucker for Denzel masterfully killing people so maturely.

Not bad.
A lot of these chicks are fun to watch act.
In this one, Anne Hathaway was great, and Awkwafina was a character.
Not near as lame as I thought it'd be.
