It is gonna to be interesting to see how he handles his eventual losses. Everyone loses if they fight long enough. Anyone who follows sports knows that losing is inevitable.

Even if the rule changed, retroactively applying it to decisions would set a horrible precedent for refs. The Hammil loss is the only thing keeping Jones at least a little humble since nothing else is.

At the same time, is it not the right thing to do?

Even with the "no 12-6 elbows" rule, Hamill complained not about his face/forehead but about his injured shoulder to a referee who is no longer reffing at the highest levels because of poor judgment shown in subsequent fights.

If the rules are applied fairly, that fight gets called a No Contest.

If this was being proposed right when it happened, 100% I'm on board. Way after the fact, not even counting the shit Jon Jones has done, hell no.

overturn (change) the rule first, then we can talk about Jon Jones. But if they ever do that, they better over turn any other fights that ended in a same way including someone losing a fight due to losing a point by throwing those illegal elbows.

I have a friend who got a dui 15 years ago. Yes, he broke the law by drinking and driving. However, he was in his neighborhood and only going 15 miles per hour. Stupid law. They should wipe it from his record and reimburse his fines. Hell, they should probably have to pay him for the 2 weeks he spent in jail.

Completely irrelevant, goof
You purposely cut my quote just to make it sound like it's something you disagree with, why? You clearly read how I said "Not even counting the shit he did", but made it seem as if my decision was based on the things Jon Jones did.

Are you saying that drinking and driving laws are stupid?

Imagine of they went back to the early days and called every fight a NC that had low blows, fish hooking, fence grabbing...

If you don’t know him by now. You’ll never, never, know him.
