This is an interesting twist of extreme right manipulation. They are already against the interest of the people in the first place so they can’t really betray the people. if a guy gets elected on the premise that he will “make America great again” he can’t actually fulfill or fail this promise because he never made clear what is to “make America great again”.

the left can do shit like that too but it’s not nearly as perverse. They promise stuff and if they can’t give you you can at least point at them and call them out on it.

I hate to defend a Republican, especially one from New York, but I forget to zip my fly at least once a week, always when I'm completely sober.

If I button them and fasten my belt buckle first then I'm fucked. My mind just skips right to "yep, done pissing, everything taken care of, go wash your hands"
