One thing war footing will do for sure is to back the normally hostile media off. They'll fall into line behind the commander in chief as they always do. Democrats like Sanders coming out against the war will find themselves increasingly marginalized. Ratcheting up tensions with a well known bogeyman like Iran in an election year is just good smart hard-nosed politics.
And never forget that Iran is the deep state's most sacred project. The corporate media will fall meekly in line and the Democrats will be left out in the cold. High tension with Iran for the win in 2020.
I've already reached out to a few of my lady friends to see who's willing to get married on a moment's notice.
