I will edit my point with an answer.
If course they fact checked them but the difference was they had daily press briefings. So they could ask about the lies on a daily basis.
Now we have no press briefings.
Just lies.
press briefings have long been full of propaganda and lies...they are not some holy ground of truth IMO
The tough questions are rarely asked, and even more rarely answered...by both/all parties
If a source states that only one president has been "fact checked" on everything he said, and doesn't provide the amount of lies of previous presidents then we are indeed comparing apples to nothing. So yes, I see the apples.
Politics has always been full of lies/half-truths/propaganda...no surprise to me.
