At this point, I’m probably too old to break into the bigs, but If I had technology that let me sit on a fastball, I would smash every home run record known to man. They’d have to move the fucking walls back. I’m laughing my head off just thinking about it.

The article says it doesn’t work because somewhere in the neighborhood of 70% are arrested again. Tell me how they’ll commit more crimes and be arrested if they’re executed per sparkuri @sparkuri post?
I missed the death part. Seems like a solid option.

why is the niece snitching?
It's not his niece. That's bogus.
But whoever it is has predicted a few things before they happened (1 year suspensions, firings) - so whoever it is has at the very least earned some credibility by being correct.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it was his niece. Account was early on Beltran’s hiring and firing. Beltran is denying it but what else would you say, besides “I don’t know this person is”, if you regret something getting out. Account is deleted now. It could be a fake account from someone with insider knowledge who wanted to leak anonymously.

just like the NFL with the Patriots using illegal videotaping to win the Super Bowl, MLB is doing everything they can to stick it to a couple scapegoats and sweep the rest under the rug.
Without having comprehensive info about the whole cheating scandal, that’s how I feel. People within a given community like professional baseball talk to each other and I don’t find it likely that the Astros were doing this out of the blue. They probably took it to another level though.

when something like this happens a big business like the mlb will try to offer fans and the media a big scapegoat and actually not solve the problem at all. If that happens, I’d be satisfied with a huge penalty a la Ron Artest to the players but not lifetime.

I also don’t like stripping past accomplishments. If the actual problem is not solved then over time people tend to look fondly of the players and madly at the asterisks. correct me if I’m wrong but I feel like even the Black Sox scandal is seen lightly today and Shoeless Joe Jackson is seen as a martyr

Black Sox scandal is not seen lightly today...not at all.

And Shoeless Joe is a 'martyr' because there was little evidence against him, especially considering his performance in that series.

EDIT : and letting them hang a World Series pennant is an insult to every team that won it fair and square.
