How does this make sense given the extreme measures taken? I've been alive a while now and I've never seen anything like this being done for the flu.
It doesn't.
Anyway, the notion that "the common flu kills more" , then carrying an attitude of *next!* is whatever....

We're all fighting 5 viruses as we speak & fighting off bacteria constantly.
But once you take a look at what they know about this; it's virility, entry, mortality & incubation, it's terrifying.
It's not taking the place of the flu(which absolutely sucks) but on top of, everything else.

All the talk of "finding a cure, finally, for HIV", then to have Frank Plummer, a leading spearheader of that effort, die during this outbreak?
An outbreak with an engineered corona type with 4 HIV markers?
And whistleblowers dying?
HMMM......

I must have missed those. I don't remember anything on this level being done for those.

You didn't have social media full of arm chair virologists in 2003 and 2009, etc.

Ask Sex Chicken @Sex Chicken what toronto was like in 2003-2004 with sars fears.

In the case of sars it was much more deadly so people with it just died off faster. China was less developed and the global movement less. Lots contributing.

But the response the same by WHO,etc. If anything, hospital systems are better now than then for infectious outbreaks...at least in large urban centers.

The question will be if our new coronavirus can be eliminated like sars, or if we will get it seasonally like flu. They are attempting to make it the former. The milder nature of the disease is one of the biggest challenges. Like swine flu, it might be here to stay with us.

Makes sense. Thank you.

I follow this dude on YouTube
He's explained medical stuff quite well.
He thinks a pandemic should be called and thinks rhe Who is very slow if not incompetent (kow-towing to the CCP)

You know the WHO is fucked when a doctor from northern England is doing a better job at explaining what's going on on his YouTube channel.

Counterpoint. Pandemic kicks in international responses (like declaring a "state of emergency") that is limited in duration due to high cost/use of resources. It redirects from customized targeted responses to larger broader less focused machinery. Timing of that is pretty important and too early or too late is bad in a world of limited resources.

The Rnaught is 3-7, And the mortality rate is estimated at at least 23 times higher and possibly up to 50 times higher than the flu.
These are "spanish flu" numbers.
And what is worse than all of that is the incubation.. It is estimated that the incubation on this is at least 3 weeks out and in some cases for 5 or 6 asymptomatically, With the range being as little as one meter.

Using simple math on timelines, assuming this was an illness that was released in late October in China and using the first U.S. case as entry point 1, this could mean there are already 10's of thousands of cases in the U.S., but no one is being tested, because no one can be; there's little testing and China isn't playing nice.
WHY that is should be concerning.

This thread and all the information contained is all anyone needs. There WILL be outbreak pockets.
All signs point to a conspiracy, particularly that biological weapons don't just walk out of labs, and top scientists & whistleblowers don't all just die within weeks.

There's a difference between hysteria and mathematical common sense.
The former will have to wait for supplies, the latter don't.
Wash your hands constantly, bleach solution your most used areas, wear a mask SO THAT OTHERS ARE COMPELLED TO, and simply slow life down for a couple weeks to see how things unfold.

The "Peak Prosperity" videos are simple & should be watched.
we were having laughs about COVID over lunch, and one my co-workers said "if it gets bad, I'll just go to Filthy's place, he's stocked up."
<table laughing>
me: I've got enough food and water for my family. And enough bullets for everybody else.

The article is consistent with everything I've heard from other sources.
Nucleic tests have failed 8 times to 1 positive.
WeAreChange.org first had "insider-insider" info that numbers were way higher.
PeakProsperity (pathogen md) stated the same.
Chinese billionaire reported millions infected pointing to capacity of the 40(now 80) *reported* portable incinerators *if running at full capacity*.
All we can assume is the number is FAR higher than reported.

Gonna get crazy if every time someone has 'flu-like symptoms' they start reacting like it's corona virus.

I got pretty sick yesterday after rolling BJJ with a chinese guy. Today the wife has it but I'm feeling much better already. No panic
