What I thought, so without symptoms you can still put people at risk, but Trudeau gonna Trudeau I guess.
People should be tolerant of the virus and treat it with respect and love. Canada's big enough for people and the virus to live together peacefully. Treat the virus the way you would want to be treated to help it assimilate into canadian society

I seem to agree. And stop calling it a virus, too much stigma.

Millions of people contracted h1n1 and it was in circulation for a year or more for that death toll.

I don't get the panic either really but this virus has a much higher mortality rate , in a years time you will a see similar death toll, if the spread isn't controlled it will be a lot higher than h1n1.
Actually we don't know how many people have contracted Covid-19. It's likely way higher than has been reported as most people just tough it out like the common cold.

The mortality rate is only accurate if both sides of the equation are accurate. The death rate is easy to track. The total amount that has been infected - not so much. If we are only tracking people that have tested positive, it's going to skew the mortality numbers to look way worse than they are. The media loves that.

It's a huge overreaction but whatever. If it means we snuff it out in a few weeks and we keep some old people from croaking - that's a win.

But people acting like we haven't seen this before are wrong. We have. Over and over again. And after this one passes, we'll get another one.

People need to chill. These panicked trips to the grocery are fucking ridiculous. Go to a gas station and step into a Slim Jim.

The whole country needs to eat a fucking Snickers.

I just moved back into the S&P 500. Not all the way, not even most of the way, but a nice big chunk. Panic is in the streets. When I get home, I will take a picture of my toilet paper stash.

Might be early. But you will still come out way ahead of these idiots selling everything off.

We are on the same page man, I don't buy the panic at all. I do think this virus is worse than swine flu though.

I reckon I had it already myself, I was sick with a cold 4 weeks ago, no fever that I notcied though, dry cough and a head cold, I just killed it with honey, lemon and whiskey.

Its the old folks I'm worried about, I haven't seen my grandparents in a few weeks because I was worried I'd make them sick, hate to think they'd croak it drowning on their own phlegm but they are ancient at this stage so if it happens theres fuck all can be done about it.

Edit also worth mentioning every stiff breeze has a name these days and the shops get hammered when they blow, its just the way it is now, people are like sheep.
