Just got in from shopping at a craft store for activities for the young ones as they will be out of school for 3 weeks. Mrs greenbean overheard a lady talking to another lady with a child in a stroller say "oh! And you have your baby with you! Oh don't worry, I won't get too close, I have a cold right now"... Bitch wtf?

but my lady says a lot of the locals are obviously paycheck to paycheck by the way they are reacting to work slowing or stopping for a bit

Citizens are gonna need some of that USA funny money or else shit will hit the fan with or without massive numbers of corona infections.

Same in canada. We have the highest household debt in the world and most people can’t miss an earnings.

Louisiana has moved to close all bars and casinos at midnight for at least 2 weeks. All restaurants will be drive-thru or take out only.

It was 5 pm yesterday when I heard Ohio was shutting shit down after 9 pm. I hadn't planned on going to a sports bar on a Sunday - especially with no sports on - but my ass was on a stool by 6 pm.

In short - you're right.

The Governor should have announced the closings at 6 AM this morning. I guarantee you his announcement flooded the bars last night.

My home office is up in mid-town and from what I've heard everyone is working from home so no one really knows what's up in the city proper. My relatives who live and work up there aren't taking this seriously at all which is making me very worried for my 88 year old uncle living in East Rockaway.

went to costco. there were long lines bevause they only let so many people in at a time. a few people tested postive for the virus in my area.. bought a bunch of food because i anticipate the entire country to mandatory self quarantine .
