Joe rarely tweets anymore...but he couldn't resist retweeting that bad boy.
Good stuff

I love my PharmD. My PharmD understands lots about drug utilization and antibiograms. I call him with a diagnosis and a patient with 15 allergies and cross reference bacterial susceptibility to find a good antibiotic for the patients comorbidities. They are great. Period.
But come on, your DOCTOR title better be a relevant PhD or an MD if you are going to put it on your handle while going on about different TREATMENTS OF DISEASE. Otherwise you know damn well what you are doing in playing smoke and mirrors to sell your books.

The issues is that you need a patient centered study.
Does an infected patient get better faster with sauna therapy? That's a pretty simple study to perform, though it won't be perfect.
Instead he looks at lots of receptor studies in labs, but those aren't applicable to people. He applies influenza to coronavirus that have TOTALLY different entry paths and replication to the cell and just lumps them as RNA viruses.
Then his people studies look at whether people caught a disease or not if they used a sauna regularly. Maybe it can help you not catch something. Or maybe sauna users are more health focused so they don't catch disease anyways. Are they properly randomized? Maybe saunas are just really good at cleaning you off and shower with soap does the same, not immunology? You can't just make that leap. You need a good study showing it happens then investigate all the why it happens.
And in the end, I thought Joe was asking about Sauna killing the virus if you have it already. And not studies on preventing the virus. This is like Vitamin C, which seems to help if you are topped off when you get sick, but doesn't really help after your cold has started.
