By pinning it on the Chinese, it stokes hatred amongst a confused and panicked population against another country when right now we need to band together.
But this band together stuff is not happening. The Chinese have already called it an American virus, they haven't given the world exact numbers, they are clearly protecting themselves before protecting the rest of the world. I wish I could say I trust China, but i don't and I don't care.

We as people will remain tribal till the end. This coming together as people facing a common threat is hocus pocus. It's why multiculturalism will never work. It is in our nature, and will be the end of us some day. That said, have an extraordinary day everyone!

Look, I'm not trying to defend China in this. I'm just saying that it's not helping to make such comments. Yes it came from China like many viri that brew in those wet markets. But perhaps our government shouldn't have treated as nothing for two months before taking it seriously? There is blame to pass around in many directions IMO.

We could have done much better to contain this on our soil and that should have been more important than calling it a Democrat hoax or "just a flu" or blaming the Chinese. We're passed the point of blame at the moment. Let's stop the bleeding, work on vaccines and treatments, then start dealing with the root problem, whatever that may entail.

Yeah but it comes across as blame throwing. He keeps treating this as a "silent enemy" to battle and that "enemy" comes from China! Words matter, despite what some folks believe.
That depends on where you get your news from. I personally don't feel any different about Chinese people.
If we are to learn anything from this and try to prevent a future pandemic, wouldn't we like to know where this virus originated and under what circumstances (ie health standards of the region) so we can make changes and avoid this problem again?
China is claiming the virus came from America and offers no proof. Is this acceptable? Sounds like they're (just checked and Jones beard already made this point so nevermind,)

Totally agree.

Governments, and I mean all governments will always to seek glory and advantage when tragedy hits. This prevented a serious approach towards solutions in the most crucial stages of this virus spreading.

Serious question for those offended by the name Chinese virus. Would you even think twice about the name if your news hadnt suggested it was racist and there was a problem with it?

Liberal News stations were all running with Chinese virus or Wuhan flu and no one questioned it, until they were told to.

If the Spanish flu is ok, so is the Chinese virus.
Chinese virus is actually more accurate than Spanish flu. We know that COVID-19 originated in Wuhan, China.

The only reason we refer to the flu pandemic of 1918 as Spanish flu is because Spain was neutral in WW1 and not manipulating or hiding numbers, but it could've started in Asia or even the U.S.

I'm not offended at all. I just don't feel it's the right approach right now. And this isn't about liberal or conservative media thing...I'm looking at Trump's tweets and the transcripts on whitehouse.gov and make my own determination based on what I read.

The only people I've heard of making the claims that it's US made are the retards who listen to and appear on Infowars.

Do have some links outside of that bubble that are making the claim that we created this and spread it through China intentionally? Accidental infection through unregulated wildlife food sources seems much more reasonable and legit IMHO.
negligent release from a lab also seems reasonable and legit

You're attempting to explain quantum mechanics to frightened baboons.
