Governments should be stockpiling this shit and pumping money into its manufacture if they aren't already, even before they get the evidence needed to deploy it. It might end up being a waste of money, but the amount of economic damage it could prevent if it is as effective as some think, it would be worth it 1000x over.

I've got 2 friends and their partners who are self isolating. One is a teacher and the other one is going out with a nurse.
None of them have been tested. Just told to stay off the grid for 14 days.
It's ridiculous. None of them feel sick now. Probably never had it in the first place.
see what bennies they'll throw in. Explain the situation, give each one opportunity to put forth their best package. Choose the best option and thank the other for the time. Maybe send them a box of chocolates or something.

My guess is that we're going to find out it works pretty well to decrease viral shed but maybe not to treat disease. the French study was only 25 patients. But it did have good p values meaning there was strong effect there statistically. But again they measured viral shedding. I don't know how many people in the population have G6P deficiency off the top of my head but that has to be considered if you were going to roll it out as a public health campaign. Some people can be harmed taking it.
