Big old curry tonight.

I bet your house smells amazing right about now
It does indeed!

it’ll get even better when I get the corn bread going later tonight. Some don’t agree with doing this, but I’ll add some ranch beans in at the end which will bulk up the pot volume a bit.

it’s a crappy gloomy day in Austin, cool and rainy. Chilli seemed like the right thing to do today ;)

I made my first batch of chili a few weeks ago and it was bland as fuck. I did remove most of the seeds from all the peppers, so to not shit fire, I won’t that make that mistake again. The seeds stay. Do you have any suggestions for spices?

yeah, it’s been raining here for the past few days. Which sucks because I have a bunch of stuff I already bought for outside projects. Yard work, landscaping, gardens, etc.

While socially distancing this weekend I was hoping to get some shit done around the yard to help keep me occupied and from losing my mind.

as far as the dry stuff, I use flour, chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt, and cayenne for the heat.

If you want more specific details, I can type up a recipe for ya. It’s pretty easy to make, and I have a few key things along the way that make it awesome.

yes. A big vat of delicious chili.

I can give you and update later tonight on how good it is.

On a serious note, are you actually out of food? Grocery stores here are crazy.

The secret to my sauces and chili's is fennel seeds.

I’d appreciate it. I used chili powder last time and I think it was expired it just weak because I put 8 times what was recommended. I’m trying to step my game up and I’d be grateful for the help.
