NYC is up to 281 deaths compared to the 100 deaths in all of King County, Washington where this all started in the US. Death tolls are definitely tapering off in the Seattle area.

I'd like to know how the heck some experts claim there's no pet-to-human transmission, despite the fact that the Chinese were throwing their animals off balconies, and a dog in California died of it.
And of course there's still the group that believe it came from bat-snake-pangolin.

What's the biological science saying our animal population aren't spreaders?

My cat is asymptomatic but I feel like I got hit by a truck.
Should I put him in the burn barrel?

The genetic makeup of dogs makes them poor hosts for coronaviruses. You got a source for the California dog?

In general, domestic animals are a poor vector for human viruses. Particularly if your pet is kept in your house. They would need to go get exposed somewhere and then bring it back to your household.

I think he is intending to reference the dog in Hong Kong that tested positive for Coronavirus and then died. Details are sparse. There have been 2 dogs that have tested positive for Coronavirus, but it has not been shown that they were infected as opposed to contaminated by their known positive human family members

There are some conspiracy theories running around.
China's wuhan province gets effected but the virus doesn't spread in any other province in China.
Chinese president had minimal safety gear. Disposable mask, no gloves and visted wuhan and nothing happened to him.
There was a building where they kept pakistani students and infected Chinese and virus didn't travel through duct to infect those students.
Stock markets are crashing and China didn't have a crash.
Oil prices fell down and biggest importer is China.

Yeah it would be very odd for a virus to show up this quickly and then find its way to using a canine as a vector let alone actually infecting both canine and humans. Possible, but boy that just seems really unlikely.
