They taped off the bench.

Good job or I might have sat on it

Those dirty commie bastards.

I was out shopping today as well. Met two broken people.

I am starting to think that we are in for a generation of this era's shell shock victims.

Sad really.

I just had to get a pack of smokes. Pictures taken while smoking one. I might go get some exercise later. Well I say exercise I might go get some oxtail soup and some beans and sausage. I reckon mixing them together will turn out alright

I'm not a food separatist but I do feel strongly that the oxtail soup should be taken alone with some lightly toasted buttered bread.

Have the sausages and beans as a main and consider adding a potato element.

It does make laugh that the guy that got pinked still pretends he has me on ignore.

It's cute in a way.

Makes me feel easier to forgive him.

It's a known potential side effect of the drug, which has been around since 1955.
Hence why the French are doing trail studies on it’s use against the corona virus... unfortunately, the previously known data seems accurate, it causes heart issues in order or compromised patients.

France has recorded about 100 health incidents and four deaths linked to experimental drugs for coronavirus patients since March 27, the national drug-safety agency ANSM said in a statement on Friday. Three other patients had to be revived.

Some 82 incidents were deemed “serious.” Most of those were split between hydroxychloroquine and HIV antivirals lopinavir-ritonavir, according to the agency.

It's been in use since 1955. Common drug to treat malaria and lupus. The side effects were known - claiming otherwise is very misleading.

Trial studies take years. The people in bad shape from the virus don't have years. And it's not like using this drug was Trump's idea. He's just removing the typical red tape to expedite the process of getting a drug that might work to people who will otherwise die.

Had he blocked its use, this article would have read "Drug believed by doctors as possible COVID treatment blocked by Trump"

Understood.

And now sit being tested in covid patients with mixed results.

French doctor is running experimental coronavirus treatment
Someone had to some trials, glad the French are on it.

If the results are mixed, that means it is working on some people?
For those that died, if the drug wasn't administered would they have died of Covid-19 instead of a heart condition?

If they want to report on the drug having adverse side effects to educate the public, that's responsible reporting.
Turning it into a hit piece on Trump isn't. It's click bait, lazy bullshit.

A lot of people promoting this drug have shares in the company that produce it.

Do you think that's ethical?

Also. The side effects can be as acute dying.

Is it really wise to promote a drug against a virus that you have a 95% chance of survival?

It sounds a lot like Thalidomide to me.

We don't know the consequences.

So the media is supposed to pretend that Trump isn't constantly talking about this drug?

Trump is the most powerful person on the planet. You can't do a serious story on people getting sick from hydroxychloroquine and not mention Trump. It's absolutely relevant to the story.

If Trump wants to go all in on hydroxychloroquine, then he will get blamed for the negative consequences. Nobody is forcing him to talk up an unproven drug like a carnival barker.

Did you read the article?

It is reporting the numbers from the studies they have been holding over the last two weeks. Far from a ‘hit piece’ on Trump.

Not if they are doing it for the sole purpose of making money, no.
But, sadly, monetizing care is hardly a new concept.

I'm not a doctor. My assumption is that the drug is only being used against critically ill patience. If they are administering this drug to everyone with a runny nose, yeah - that's foolish.

From what I hear, most of the people who come down with The 'Rona are being told to just stay home and wait it out a couple of weeks and they'll be fine. No drugs at all.

Also - It's possible your 95% figure was completely arbitrary, but I still believe that once everything is said and done the actual figure will be closer to 99%. Many, many, many more people have it that aren't included in the mortality rate figures. We may never know how many people were actually infected. I base this on nothing other than me being a stats nerd, and knowing that if you don't have all the data then your results are wrong. It's impossible to calculate a mortality rate at this time.

They act like he invented the damn drug. Every little facet is being politicized. On both sides by the way.
