Black doctor handcuffed by police while unloading supplies for homeless from van outside own home | Daily Mail Online

Black doctor is handcuffed by police while unloading supplies for homeless people from his van outside his own Miami home during the coronavirus pandemic
  • Dr. Armen Henderson was handcuffed outside his home during a Friday incident
  • He was stopped by police while he was unloading supplies from his own van
  • The sergeant told him he was patrolling the area on illegal dumping complaints
  • He then handcuffed Henderson for failing to show him identification
  • The sergeant only released him after speaking with Henderson's wife
  • Henderson was in the process of unloading tents he was giving to the homeless

Is it bad I usually only sleep three hours a night?
Yes.
In medical School I had a rotation in which I regularly slept only 4 to 5 hours a night for 12 weeks.
Every fourth day I had to stay awake for 36-40 hours. After that 36-40 hours I was allowed 8 hours or so. Which of course averaged four to five hours for those two days as well.

By the end of 12 weeks I was kind of weird. That might be an understatement.

If you're only sleeping 3 hours a night, you're probably kind of weird now.

Let me whine for a moment please...

I see nurses are being offered $1,500 a shift.
Mid levels often more than that.

Hospitals are only looking for volunteers??? At the same time they are applying for bail out money specifically for them. And they will bill every patient for services rendered.

OSHA does not cover protective services for volunteers, during an ongoing PPE problem.

I make good money on contract and normal times working this kind of work. I'm supposed to fly to New York and work for free for 2 weeks while the hospital bills five and six figure prices off my services rendered????

Discussion: The dominant process in all cases was consistent with diffuse alveolar damage, with a mild to moderate mononuclear response consisting of notable CD4+ aggregates around thrombosed small vessels, and significant associated hemorrhage. Important additional mechanisms that may have contributed to death in this initial series of autopsies include a thrombotic microangiopathy that was restricted to the lungs

Early data from New Orleans suggests microscopic clotting leading to a perfusion issue which might explain some of the previous posts we had about NYC EM critical care doctors feeling that this was not representative of ARDS

My sister in law is an icu nurse and was offered 10k a month or something silly like that to go up to NYC. She's a good southern woman like her sister and said no, because NYC is gross.

LMAO we are doomed

President Donald Trump pointed to his own head when asked on Friday what metrics he would consider when it came to a decision on reopening parts of the country following the coronavirus pandemic.

“The metrics right here, that’s my metrics,” Trump said. “That’s all I can do
