Personally, I'm doing my best to come out the other side of this without taking any of these "freebies" if someone needs EI, they've paid into that, cool. But this mortgage thing is freaking me out. Credit ratings work as "paid or not paid" there's no "the government says it's okay to miss a payment category" Even if they do sort that out, I can't help but think that when a person's mortgage comes up for renewal in a few years that they'll be told by the bank that their interest rate is higher than advertised because they've demonstrated themselves to be high risk.
we are still paying the mortgage
stopped paying extra on principle for now though

sucks

and my lady has been out of work 6 weeks now and the unemployment is so slammed and wonky that she hasn't received a dollar from the state or fed...all three of her occupations were ordered closed by the state

we are lucky/smart because we aren't paycheck to paycheck people...and I still am pulling in about 60% of normal income

We'll ignore for a second that it's impossible to grow your own food in any sort of meaningful way if you live in Michigan. Right now, if everyone decides to grow their food and stop buying it, it'll mean even worse things for the economy,
unless there's no one picking it because it didn't get planted or harvested. That's a real risk with the migratory work force.

It doesn't say anything about seeds in that article.

Garden

Buying seeds now prohibited in Michigan — but booze, pot, lottery tickets OK
Buying seeds in a store to grown one's own food, or paint for home repairs, is illegal — but Michiganders can still legally purchase alcohol, marijuana, and lottery tickets, which have been deemed "essen

here is the actual executive order from Mich Gov...not that I am reading it all
Whitmer - Executive Order 2020-42 (COVID-19)

Actemra (a rheumatoid arthritis immune modulator) has now been successfully used in a few critically ill doctors that were infected while caring for patients.

This + zinc +IV ascorbic acid is successful in observations. Which of course is the weakest data, but there are now phase three trials going on for this as well.

That's at least three immune modulators in trial right now that have good observational data in the critically ill and a physiologic reason they should work. Also studies on them are all underway. This is good

This drug is a potent interleukin 6 inhibitor.
Azithromycin is well known to have IL-6 inhibition and we use it for that reason for other diseases. This might be the link and why it seems azithromycin helps some less critically ill patients but it's not enough once the patient is more critical.

I have upped my zinc, vitamin D, vitamin C lately.
Trying to grab plenty of sun for that magical Vitamin A also.

Vitamins are cool and fun

but not landlords and real estate investors (in the US, at least).
Here in the US, there are a lot of landlords that are older people whose homes have been converted to 2-3 family. I can think of 3 people I know personally in that situation.

They live in one part and the rent they collect just really pays the bills/taxes to allow them to stay in their family homes as part of their retirement plan.

I only bring it up because a lot of these people don't have mortgages and have owned their houses fully for many years. If they are treated the same way as career landlords they could get lost in the shuffle, so I hope someone keeps them in mind.

i have already written off any of the "free money from the govt" programmes as being not targeted towards me. i am still working full time and dont really need anything . i think most people will end up collecting EI and the other money is going to be super hard to get and people will end up getting auditted in the future over it. the govt pretty much said they will give it out now and be looking in to it later as to who is entitled and who isnt . i see a lot of people having to pay it back or getting a surprise on their taxes in the future . it will be a true trudeau financial plan when we try to kickstart the economy while garnisheeing peoples wages to pay back EI and CERB payments

no. It's an entirely different RF front end, antenna array, etc. What's deployed now is MU-MIMO on sub 6 GHz bands.
interesting...thanks for response
