Perfect! That makes sense to me and by mostly elevating the hips a tick to relieve pressure it's also putting the patient at a bit of head down (which is why I asked about T-Bird) which in my head should also move things about and make it easier for the lungs to vent.
Fuck I miss being in the OR. I think I'm going to register to volunteer and see if there's anything I can do to help some local hospitals.

Small observation. We've been locked in for. Actually I don't know how long, it feels like a couple of months.

Doctors, nurses, police, firefighters, pharmacists, grocery clerks... but guess what? Absolutely nothing they're doing works without electricity or water. I have yet to see a single source acknowledge the utility workers.

Really good point. Hadn't even remotely thought about that. When PG&E closed a lot of Norcal off with the wildfires, their employees were being attacked. Not their fault obviously. Nasty times.
I feel like that was political. No power company wants an interruption in services. Our primary goal is to shoot as close to 100% reliability as we can. All the time.
