I THINK WE FINALLY MADE GOOD, TOASTERABLE SOURDOUGH BAGELS

We baked at 400 because our oven seems to run hot the bagels are nice and soft and should toast nicely, instead of being too hard like the last ones.

Sesame Ginger Chicken Thighs done with a broiler

Package of boneless skinless chicken thighs (cut off excess fat)
3 tbsp. Oyster sauce
2 tbsp. lime juice
1 tbsp. rice vinegar
2 tsp. brown sugar
1 garlic clove, diced
1 green onion
1 tbsp. ginger powder
2 tbsp sesame seeds
1-3 tsp. Sriracha
1tsp soy sauce

Take all that and mix it in a bowl

Toss the chicken with it and put it in the fridge for an hour. Prefer longer. I did not have time tonight.

Take out.
Turn broiler on in the over
Put chicken thighs on a baking sheet top down.
Broil for 5 minutes
Flip them
Broil for 7-9 minutes.
I could/should have done about another minute or two to get some more crispy ends. I did 7 minutes. Another minute would have probably been right.

Take some mix stir fry veggies and heat them with some sesame oil. Season with essentially the same ratio of marinade ingredients. Increase your sugar and/or sriracha to taste for sweeter or spicier.

Serve chicken over veggies and garnish with green onion and sesame seeds.

~250 calories per serving.

Made crazy noodles.

Chicken ramen noodles

Cayenne pepper ground,

Salt / pepper

Sriracha sauce

Sliced jalapenos.

Trick is to use more water than you need. That way it turns into a broth you can adjust while you make it.

I always make mine pretty damn spicy.

OOOO Fajita seasoning sounds good. You should get some actual hot peppers next time. Like ghost peppers.

Apparently slicing, vacuum sealing and then immediately freezing the fresh baked bagels is the way to go. These are excellent and taste just as fresh as the night we made them.

Broccoli Soup with Goat cheese

Take a head or two of broccoli and cut the florets off

Boil them 4-6 minutes. Your knife should slide through them with a little resistance.
Salt the water with a few pinches of salt.

Drain that and SAVE YOUR WATER. It's now a broccoli broth!
Spoon cooked broccoli into a blender. Then ladle some broth into this. Salt a little. Puree.

The hardest part in this is learning how much liquid to add and how long to bled. You want JUST enough to liquify but leave some body to your soup.

About like this...
Salt to taste

Goat cheese into the bowl.
Pour in soup.
Cracked pepper.
Soup melts the cheese. I probably added too much here. LOL no way.

Stire that melted cheese into that fresh soup.
Bon Appetit.
