There are no new Covid-19 cases in New Zealand for the eighth day in a row and still one active case.

Yesterday our laboratories completed 3020 tests, bringing the total number of tests completed to date to 278, 872.

Do the tests identify people who've recovered, or just people who are currently sick?

Their numbers have gone down drastically though, despite more widespread testing. They were averaging 10,000 new cases a day in mid April and now they're down to 1-2,000
I understand that, but it's a good indicator that the disease isn't as lethal as previously thought. You also need to keep in mine that new cases hinge on who you're testing and which tests you're using. I'm an essential worker, so I've been exposed to people throughout the pandemic from the very start. We know have access to tests for anyone who wants them, but as far as I'm aware the test won't tell me if I've had it and recovered.

Better keep everyone locked down then.
I'm not coming out till every single one of you murderers gets a vaccine chip complete with tracers.

I think it was CDC(not that I trust them much) that recently said almost all the antibody tests were very unreliable(couple days back).

No. You would need an antibodies test for that

I honestly have no idea what you're rambling about at this point. You said something about "You love it, stay locked down" I asked for clarification and you said "science or lackthereof"
your gif is what I was responding towards

CDC said the tests weren't reliable...I don't trust CDC...But I have posted many more doctors and sources previously that said the Anti tests weren't reliable either...Majority of the tests aren't actually specifically testing for C-19 at all, testing for a group of 5-6 other corona viruses as well...CDC approved many different tests by different labs, I think they are covering their ass with the recent release regarding the unreliablility

Hope that ^^ clears it up.

I know you aren't down with lockdown anymore...my comment was just a dry joke kinda like your gif

Herd Immunity is the what's up, tests aren't up to spec.

Treat the sick and symptomatic.

Is that reason because scientists get paid by the hour and thus want to make their jobs more inconvenient?
No, if you would actually read the study, I'm pretty sure it's because the study was conducted by convenient samples at the grocery store. I don't think they should be using people's selection of particular types of cured meat or savory snack as an appropriate method of determining who has coronavirus or not, at least not without first determining if certain ethnic groups are biased against pastrami.
