New cases are trending up in the States.

i suspect we will too after the marches.

i just wonder how lethal it really is to people with no underlying health issues.

No underlying health issues?
Your chance of survival is about 99.96%

You have a better chance of drowning in a pool of Skittles after skydiving with an acme anvil as a parachute.

And if you tested positive in the autopsy you better believe Covid-19 will be listed as the cause of death.

I do know someone who had no underlying health issues who recovered from it but did not recover full lung capacity. He also seems to be going through some kind of ptsd waking up during the night from nightmares of not being able to breathe.

But I also know people who seem to have gotten through it ok.

I do think there is something weird about this virus.

ive had it. I do believe I have lost a 5th of my taste and smell to what it was. I also find myself holding my breath.

that didn’t happen before, I think it’s my body holding oxygen in case of attack.

it may pass.

my mother in law got hit hard and a friend did too. they were not in the vulnerable side. But it did hit him.

but the point remains, they didn’t die.

the average age of women dying from covid in the uk is 82.

quite frankly I’d take that right now. It’s a fair innings.

I say a lot of things tongue in cheek.

I hope your friend recovers 100%

I can't help wondering if we will see a large cohort of people die years before they otherwise would have - like at 65 or 75 instead of 85 because of having certain organs compromised by the virus when they were 25 or 35. What will elder care look like in 30-50 years and will we see a major change.

I had a health teacher once who told us that during prohibition actually many/most people followed the law, and there was a whole group of people who saw lower stats from liver problems as a result. I keep wondering if this might be like that in some way. *except in a bad way

With all our current and past environmental daily toxin and pollutant exposure, the corona affects are and will be just a drop in the bucket as far as future health problems are concerned.

If that makes you feel any better.
