This was 9 years ago, and it was a combination of things:
My wife (then girlfriend) had to do an international placement to finish her degree.
I was having a headache with my ex over our kid.
I was under 30 and didn't want to get stuck in NZ as it's a pretty small place.
Was working for an Australian company at the time too, so it all just seemed to fit.
Skippy meat is really lean - great for a healthy diet, but means that you need to prep and cook it appropriately.
Kind of like venison in flavour, and Skippy Bolognese is pretty good if done correctly.
I've messed up the cooking once, and it was like eating a boot.
This year has been a really successful one for me, both personally and professionally.

Personally, my daughter turns one in a week and we have a bunch of family coming to Syd from NZ.
Professionally, I started a media/marketing consultancy 12 months ago and have some really good wins this year.
