I was being sarcastic to dudes question. It’s not just that easy to learn a new skill when you’re flat broke and behind on your bills. This shows the lack of empathy and the disconnect this administration has with regular American people.

That is clearly what Ivanka and her team think of these people. How is anyone supposed to start a training program when they are worried about losing their home?

How was I able to do it? You do what you need to do, sometimes hard work sucks but the payoff is great.

I was a broke, unemployed skillless young man in my 20's......and I was able to learn a new skill, and am doing well now. It took a lot of hustle, and investment in myself. Eating nothing but ramen for weeks fucking sucked, but it was worth it in the end.

I think some people feel helpless and feel like they are unable to help themselves out. I didn't receive any formal education for my current career and it's worked out very well for me. No one is upset about that. People are either amused or outraged by two things:
1. Trump talks a lot of shit about saving jobs and in this instance he's not doing that.
2. Ivanka Trump is unqualified for any cabinet-level position. Seeing her in charge of such a scheme is laughable at best and ominous at worst.
