I've been wearing a mask in public ever since we started getting exponential spread and it was obvious that we weren't going to be testing enough to catch people before they became symptomatic. And I'm a pretty high likelihood to be infected.
With that said, I have been nothing but absolutely joyed by you and
@Hauler rock solid hatred of mask policy. Absolutely consistent unwavering since day one. if I remember right I think he might have even gone to the bar with no mask in the middle of lockdown. Your mask hatred is the foundation that keeps this ship upright.
So he's wife tested positive and the article also says he did also but a mask is to much of a ask to keep others safe. He is rich and famous enough to have costume masks made that are as comfortable as a mouth full of Ariana grandes pussy but nope, no need cause he got a big house so obviously he NEVER has contact with his wife.
My little rant-
It is amazing to me that people have been asked to do one little thing to help protect themselves and others and a huge portion simply refuse. It would be like if during plague times people refused to stop feeding rats except now we are supposed to know better.
Does anyone have any idea what a fucking nightmare it is to completely gown from head to toe wearing two masks just to simply adjust a patient's pillow or any of the hundreds of simple tasks that people request, all while politicians, celebrities, and sports stars make millions sitting on their asses while people die.

But there is an element of truth to this. Though there does need to be a 4th category of 'Pussy' - "I'm just wearing this so that people don't look at me like I'm a terrorist/rapist". I have been in that category.

I agree in principal. In practice though; in the weeks leading up to the mask implementation we were consistent in low single digit new cases usually posting a 0 a couple days a week. Cases had gone from 100 plus in June to 40 by July 6. On July 7 masks became mandatory since then we've gone for 40 cases to 118 and our new cases are on a steady increase. I'm aware it isn't a mask problem it's an education and behavior problem, but at the end of the day if we dont right the ship soon we're going to be back where we started in a few weeks. The one bright spot is its almost exclusively people in their 20s and hospitalizations are at minimum but somewhere along the way the media decided that deaths and overwhelming hospitals was going to take a back seat to fear mongering about case numbers so we'll see how the government reacts.
