I am amazed that so many Americans are against people exercising their rights, that's very sad to me.

If they are a citizen their votes counts.
Do you think you should have to register your firearms? Or register yourself to own a firearm? Do you think you should register to use your free speech?
So you don’t believe they should?
Does my firearms or speech give me the ability to elect someone that with take away your rights?
The president election should be more strict than my Fantasy football vote on adding a second flex spot

I don't think that the ability to vote should be a Democratic vs Republican thing.
I personally don't give a shit about either party because both sides are lying cheating con-artist but limiting people's ability to vote is unconstitutional and a very scary prospect.

It takes much more than just a president to change your rights.

No I think being a citizen should be good enough to vote. A right delayed is a right denied.

They don't, there is a big issue in the poorer areas of Texas where kids don't have internet at home....
And what are they asked to do?

The district I work for requires them to drive to a school site and use the WiFi to download assignments.

I'm not sure, I know the districts are buying hot spots but in poorer areas there are so many people without internet they can't buy enough fast enough. The current generation is going to have a lot of kids left behind, and that's going to create even more poverty. Are poor kids and their families health worth less than those who are more well off?

Education and property ownership is the way out of poverty, some crazy doctor guy told me that, and it's true.

How do you think people should prove they’re citizens?

Are you serious?
70% of socialists (city folk) live blocks from ballot stations.
If they have to walk, and don't have the energy, they can take their food stamps to the grocery store which is about us far as a ballot Box, buy a candy bar with free government food stamps to give them the energy to get the extra block to the ballot station.
So is your problem with people getting assistance or their ability to vote?

I'm not 100% sure, it I'm sure we could figure it out. How do you think they should? Because all I do when I register to vote is send a post card in...... Via the mail. So if I can register to vote by mail, why can't I vote by mail.

Oregon has been voting almost all from mail for like 20 years
I do think there has been election fuckery during that time

Maybe that is why Oregon is going down the shitter?

You should have to register in order to vote imo.
What occurs 8 weeks ahead of the election when I fill out a voter registration card by mail that couldn't be solved in real time on the day of the election?

What's magical about this form repeating already known data?
Texas voter registration form.

Why isnt voter registration automatic with some other perfunctory task linked to my address?

Why doesn't Australia's automatic voter registration result in the super high levels of fraud that people keep talking about? Not talking about compulsory voting.

And I don't mean this sarcastically at all.

you know I exist and you know my social security number and you know where I live on any number of different items that I interact with. Driver's license, passport, tax filing... Why doesn't any of that trigger a voter registration validation?

Oregon is going down the shutter due to its proximity to California and all the people leaving California.

That has also been going on for 20-30 years.

Texas is also undergoing that transformation from what I have heard, shitloads of Calis will be moving in shortly...good luck.

Rural is still nice here, cities are going to poop.

I may not agree with their politics, but they are still American citizens and should vote how they see fit. Freedom isn't always comfortable and people aren't going to always do things you like.

I just purchased yet another gun that is smaller than .40 caliber while I was posting in this thread.

You're probably uncomfortable with that and don't like it. But sometimes that's freedom.

Again I live in California
I’ve been surrounded by people doing things I dislike for 20 years.
Be interesting to see your reaction if we have mail in ballots and suddenly Texas goes bright blue.

Is there an option C?
I've gone straight to ballot boxes for 26 years.
That a vast swath of human beings are suddenly concerned with this, with 80 days to plan a trip to a drop box, is what I have a problem with.
Afghanis travelled 100 miles on foot and mule for their regional election.
This notion that this task cannot be accomplished in the first world is the epitome of bullshit.

The United States has fought wars for free and fair elections.
Intended Trump voters live further away from ballot stations than intended non-Trump voters.
With minimal common sense, that knowledge with the current topic in mind should speak for itself.

If that's how it goes, that's the will of the people. I have the freedom to move wherever I want and maintain my job.
