An interesting view:

Are you concerned, or not concerned, about yourself personally or a close family member getting the coronavirus?

Code:
18-29 30-44 45-64 65+ | AGE

29% 37% 32% 30% | VERY
44% 35% 33% 37% | SOMEWHAT
13% 17% 21% 24% | NOT VERY
13% 10% 14% 8% | NOT AT ALL

I would expect older people to have a much higher concern compared to young people.
I'm surprised that you're surprised. Boomers acting like retards with nothing to worry about has been a theme of this pandemic since the beginning.

They are the key demographic being exposed to Murdoch press propaganda telling them this is all a hoax. Their diminishing cognitive abilities prevent them from seeing through the bullshit.

There is also a fair bit of sociological evidence that old people are, in scientific terms, cunts. There is a strong desire to pull up the ladder behind them and watch the younger generations burn.

One day we will be those cunts. And the next generation would be wise to start using death panels to get rid of us or least ban us from voting.

I don't find it surprising that their attitudes mostly mirror all the other groups. Why would it be? They're absorbing the same media influences as everyone else.

I had an uncle pass away recently. They put coronavirus on his death certificate. He did not die from coronavirus. Reading this kind of stuff is one thing. When it happens to someone you know, its a real eye opener.

What did he die from, if you don't mind?

Ah Florida....

Brian said he and his wife didn't have one firm belief about Covid-19. Instead, they switched between thinking the virus was a hoax, linked to 5G technology, or a real, but mild ailment. They came across these theories on Facebook.
"We thought the government was using it to distract us," Brian explained, "or it was to do with 5G."

Ah Florida Facebook.....
Although Brian here doesn't seem to broken up about it. Methinks he's glad to see her go?

The people feeding these poor saps misinformation enrage me as well. Thousand dying because of idiots peddling misinformation. Much of it straight from the chans and the rest of it from snake oil salesman willing to profit off the deaths of others.

But here you are making a mockery of a guy with his dead wife. What do you care about in this world? Not a good look at all.

Also you might ask yourself why BBC is running a story on a 3-month-old Facebook post

Either way, the reason nobody gives you an inch or the benefit of the doubt is that you kick people when they're down. Lots of people have faults but really nobody likes that guy. It's not winning, it's just cruelty.

People who fall for the hoax bullshit might be dumb but they are not innocent victims. They are showing a reckless disregard for other people. Coronavirus doesn't end with you. If you engage in risky behaviour and get it, you can pass it on to vulnerable people who are doing the right thing.

It's like reacting to the death of a drunk driver. Your sympathy for people who are willfully endangering other people has limits, even if they only end up wrapping themselves around a tree.

'Ve vere only folloving ze propaganda orders' has been established as not a credible defence (Godwin can suck my dick).

Because you have to remember that a lot of this is rationalizing not caring about other people, not misinformation. It often begins with 'I am a cunt who doesn't care if other people die' and finds justification in the hoax narrative. 'I am innocent you see, it was all the interwebs fault my wife is dead' is also a very convenient narrative for someone who was acting like a retarded cunt.

I should care if people give me an inch for something I didn't actually say?
You keep "re-interpreting" what I say and adding on to it.
I'm going to keep posting relevant news, regardless.

I said he didn't seem too broken up about his wife and you go off on your usual irrelevant diatribe.
Stick to what I said. Let me repeat again:

Brian:
I can't change the past. I can only live in today and make better choices for the future," Brian explained.
"She's no longer suffering, but in peace. I go through times missing her, but I know she's in a better place."

Me:
Although Brian here doesn't seem too broken up about it. Methinks he's glad to see her go?

You:
You're nasty!!!!

? If that makes me a bad person, Okay. I'm bad.

Now let me remind you of this post...:
Changed my mind.
Corona virus, do your thing.

Hmmmm..... what a nasty person.....

I dont think that's a great analogy. I understand your point, but people who are at higher risk or even just scared, know that there are no safe public spaces only "lower risk" public spaces. Even then, at least here, the public health agencies continue to mismanage.

If your wife dies of something that others think is her fault, I hope that when you're begging people to listen to you, to take your lesson, and not do what you and your wife did, that isn't the time for people to mock you missing your dead wife.

I also think that your drunk driving analogy is quite flawed. Maybe you would have to be here to see how ubiquitous this messaging is, but a significant number of people are completely misinformed about covid19 threat, masks, etc etc. And while some are just angsty teens in adult bodies, a great majority that I've met simply have so much crap being thrown at them they can't differentiate what they should or shouldn't be doing right now.

I don't know anybody that thinks like this about drunk driving. The messaging there is quite clear and those that engage in it and do so as an extreme minority position in society's rules.
