I think that its important that we hold our president to a higher standard than "what you can legally get away with".
Trumps entire "drain the swamp" was built on the revolving door of politicians who become lobbyists and legally influence our government.
That isn't illegal, but that kind of working for self-interest is what Trump was voted to remove. And he's the biggest offender.

How would you rate other politicians of our era? Being with bush and haliburton, hilary doing closed door paid speeches for elites.. etc. I feel like they all have a equal level of self intrest, that's why I liked trump when he first wanted to run. It was a different type of self intrest more in a narcissistic way which is somehow more appealing than the typical snake politician.

I may say trump 2020 and all that shit but I dont really like him personally. I do think hes funny at rally's and truly does love america but I dont think I would want be around him. I know I could pick a way better politican to share a beer with

I'd put him at the same level, especially Cheney. Well connected without even the auspices of removing conflict of interst. Just a straight fuck you, I'm selling you a shit sandwich.

I get that too. Blow up the machine. Blow up the system. The ultimate nihilism in the face of a disillusionment. Nietzsche would be proud.

But while that was fun in jest, and even fun if it got two or three things done while burning the system to the ground for the greater good of the future phoenix, there's nothing coming from the ashes other than further disillusionment and chaos.

I guess I was thinking about self enrichment over country.
But you're right. I'm not sure anything can out do the combination of personal gain and country destruction there.

Couldn't agree more. I don't think we can ever trust our election results ever again. It's so crazy how many style of ballots there are and all the issues involved with collecting ballots all over the country. Add people like this being in charge of elections and you have a recipe for disaster...
