Our hospitals are holding admitted patients in the ER because we don't have empty beds to place them.

Some up to 19 hours. So actual ER patients are just hanging out in the lobby waiting to be seen.
We are seeing summertime numbers here already. It's interesting because our county is not as high as the summer in cases but our bed utilization is.
Either the wrong people are catching it or we are under counting compared to summer surge.

We have not seen the flu really pick up yet.

No clue but every time I turn around I read how this is mis reported for profit. I was scared at first and once I started seeing the bullshit numbers I no longer believe anything they say about this. Also I always hear there are too many people on the plant. Well maybe this is a blessing.
So you are sure they are making profits but you don't know anything about said profits? Seems reasonable......

Yes, I was sick a lot as a child. Missed a year of school in 5th grade.
Damn! So do you have chronic respiratory issues now?

Back to my original thought when you compared corona to the flu. My issue (that I was addressing right now) isn't the total number of cases or even how many die. It's the bogging down of the hospitals and limiting the ability to treat others. People who aren't wearing masks and getting corona are effecting this. For example, if you get corona and are lying on my ER bed for 19 hours while waiting for a bed on the floor, that's 19 hours of
people with broken limbs, possible cardiac events, strokes, etc. having extended waits in the lobby while we search for a place to treat them. This could be your mother sitting out there.

Another note, the average stay on the hospital for the flu is around 6 days. The average stay for covid was around 9 days but now the we are finding better treatment we are keeping them alive longer and the average stay is about 22 days (for survivors). I think it's around 12 days for the people who aren't going to make it.

My point is, regardless of how many get what, the burden on the hospital is very different.

So, with all due respect, if you dont care enough about yourself to wear a mask, at least have the decency to stay the fuck out of my hospital if you catch corona so we can treat people who genuinely need it.

Jk, if you get sick, come on down. We will juggle and struggle until we find an empty stretcher to park in a hall and save your life so you can get back to your freedoms.

So do you think that a doctor would have to order a corona test on this patient? Would the result be in their file?

Hospitals have auditors that come in and review charts. If a covid diagnosis is assigned with no studies to back that up there will be questions asked.

There are people around here that have gotten a positive covid results and we're never tested. Lots of fuckery in my eyes.

No sir! I am fine. More a crazy mother than anything imo. That's fair and I don't want to overload the hospitals. I only go when it's broken or true life or death. No one is wearing masks properly so it's moot. If everyone wore the proper mask properly I'd still be on board. I don't think this is a flu. I understand it's different. Just not near as deadly as we thought or it's changed.
