I get that. But it's actually the opposite. Hospitals, especially private, are taking government money and attempting to see as few patients as possible for it.
There is not a coronavirus = this much money. Actually hospitals asked for that and it would make more sense, since they would be funding increased resources. But instead theres little rhyme or reason to the funding beyond institutional size and lobbying.
Also, we'll talk coding and physician payments some time. I simply don't get paid more for covid diagnosis. I would get paid more if covid made you sicker...like losing oxygen saturation or low blood pressure. Not by diagnosis alone.

everybody agrees that those are COVID deaths except you, so it's YOU that needs to explain the situation. Everybody else is working with an explanation that aligns with data.
i'm saying it's not as easy as checking a different box on the form and cashing a bigger check.
there are empirical factors that have to align to pull that off.

People get sick and die. Why aren't the homeless dying off? Seems it's almost all old and sick who are dying. Only some doctors and nurses seem to get really sick from the huge viral load they are exposed too. Convince me then, I'll listen. From my chair this all looks like overblown bullshit.
