Trump has just galvanized turnout for people that would normally consider sitting the election out as a red state.
Riots across the country for a dead methhead had nothing to do with it

Just trump galvanizing

Correct.
This election is a referendum on Trump. People on the left are more pissed at Trump than they were excited for Hillary and now Biden.

Riots aren't even the top issue voters, let alone Texas voters, care about the most.
The economy and coronavirus rank higher. Race relations and community safety rank lower. Among women, who were a significant move from Obama to Trump, they represent the largest shift back away from Trump -- pretty much universally across demographics and especially in the suburbs that have high voter turn out.
So if "riots for a dead methhead" factor in, you will have to decide why Trump did such a poor job of winning voters over on such an easy issue. No one likes riots or methheads, and yet Texas is in play more now than even the beginning of September.

@I can count to TCity voters aren't this energized about riots:

If Trump actually has fucked up to the point that he loses Texas... That's it, right? Over and done if he loses it, Cali, NY, and the rest of the NE ?

The recording starts partway through Trump telling a story about hitting on an unidentified woman — unsuccessfully. “I did try and fuck her,” Trump said. “She was married. I moved on her very heavily. In fact, I took her out furniture shopping. … I moved on her like a bitch, but I couldn’t get there and she was married.”

Then, Trump said, he saw her again: “Then all of a sudden I see her, she’s now got the big phony tits and everything.”

Moments later, Trump notices Arianne Zucker, the soap opera actress who would later escort him and Bush to the set. Bush calls her “hot as shit.” Trump jokes that he should “use some Tic Tacs” in case he starts kissing her.

“I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait,” Trump said. “When you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab ’em by the pussy. You can do anything.”

Yes losing Texas would kill any reasonable path to victory. I don't think it'll happen. His push on fracking is a good one to win the state and also simultaneously get traction in PA. Still, polls are stable right now against him with blue wall coronavirus hospitalizations on the rise (a top two issue everywhere). At this time Hillary Clinton polls were cratering.

If Trump loses, and especially if Trump loses where he shouldn't like Texas, it'll be the end of MAGA inside the GOP that accepts Trumps antithetical positions only as far as it wins elections.

I expect Biden wins, Biden dies or retires after one term, Kamala tries to run and loses, we get a GOP president in 2024. The string here would result in a significant questioning of what Trump and Kamala represent inside of their respective parties.

He needs Florida. He might get it.

He'll lose Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin. That is how he loses the election.

im afraid he doesn’t lose Texas.

i would go as far to say Florida he may even win.

this election is not over. Biden has the advantage over Hillary in that he isn’t hated but there are a lot of folks in merica that truly love trump And buy the communism fear of the 50s and after.

the cbs interview is a disaster for him though. Truly embarrassing. But people have made their minds up anyway.

i can still see him winning.

Communism sucks.

It doesn't exist.

I agree with you it did. But it's not an issue to worry about.

Mericans should be more worried about not having health care in the 21st century.

Not a made up bogeyman created to scare you from school age.

America was never and will never be a communist country.

Its like worrying about the sky the falling in.

I was thinking of them as going red but you have me wondering how Covid is playing with all of the old ass people that have retired to Florida.

What's the buzz?
Covid isn't as bad here as it was in the summer. More Republicans have voted early, but more Democrats have have voted by mail.

It'll be close as usual, but I think Trump wins it. I read somewhere if he doesn't win it he has only a 1% chance of winning the election, so expect a lot of late campaigning here by the Trump team.
