Well, no, because I asked you first, dork.

Are you short on cash? Is that the problem?

Because you'll still need to pay me. Don't make bets you can't afford to lose.
We were supposed to go for $500, remember? Don't worry about my money. But, to answer your question, I seem to be as convinced as Senator Harris of a Biden win, as she has yet to vacate her Senate seat. Once she vacates, she can't get it back.

I will pay you when the election is certified.

It's effective if the admin is trying to run a blind democracy. If you're the one providing much of the content and are an influencer of sorts, and I tell you that I'm just here for whatever the crowd wants, you have an outsized voice over everyone else even though you're one person. This was a type of mistake we've been making for many years early on.
It leaves a majority of the posters that might not be as active without their voices being heard. And 90% of the users are lurkers, 10% are posters and only about 1% are new thread makers.
So polling a blind democracy by voice results in tyranny of the minority against the silent majority.

As an admin this is very difficult because it feels good when you have users ask for something and you give it to them and then they're happy. That's a good feedback loop for person. You feel accomplished like a good admin. But like this example it can misconstrue what a majority of the users actually want.
And in many cases users don't care that much and what they really hate is change. So if you're split 50/50 you don't change.

I personally love the idea of a news and politics subforum... The form equivalent of a 24-hour news channel that you're not really supposed to watch all the time but you flip to when you need to get it and get away from it when you need your sanity.
The tags could be specific so it would be easier to find election news or whatever.
It's not a democracy though. It's your private business. You should be able to make executive decisions without fear of mutiny over such trivial things.

I always figured if we're gonna have a pro wrestling sub-foum, we ought to have a political sub-forum too.

We've always wanted it to be. We had this vision of us as just instruments of the crowd. I never wanted to mod anything. That's why we had so many mods and wanted to rotate them. Don't be cops. Just nudge the crowd to enforce itself with members that demonstrate great posting style. In the end moderating is a thankless job and it burns people out. So that was a bust.
I could write a book on all the things we've done wrong in an attempt to do right.
Still think about it often and how to create a user environment that encourages high posting volume with user input and not having conflicting ideologies force one half off the board.

Is that true!? I wasn’t active on here then. I got here in 2018 after Kirik fired me for making The Post.
The repercussions of 2016 are found in some posters to this day.

Not sure of the exact statistics but the salt level was and in some cases still is unreal.

You look like an idiot posting this nonsensical shit.

You're a nice guy and I like you. That's why I'm being so blunt.
i don't think everyone involved on Trump's side is risking everything for some petty ass evidence, I'd rather not bother believing the MSM who has a track record of lying and getting caught, also the money is on their side. whoever is going for the money is the evil ones, and that's not team Trump.

you can believe what you want for now but what matters is what's going to happen at the end.

right now the argument is "my sources are better than your sources" which nobody really knows until this shit goes to the Supreme Court

Can I suggest something to you.

something that may catch.

When Hillary ran she really wasn’t that popular. She had her fans for sure. But even someone like me found her arrogance unedifying to say the least. Had I had the vote I wouldn’t have voted for her and just assumed Trump would have lost anyway. Didn’t need me.

The Bernie bros I’m sure refused to vote for her because of what happened at the dnc conference in 2016.

They abstained.

she still won the popular vote though.

zip forward 4 years and those folks who wouldn’t hold their nose last time had seen Trump in action and decided that you could put up OJ Simpson against Trump and they would still vote AGAINST Trump.

It didn’t matter who or what it was. The anti Trump vote was bigger than the for Trump vote.

Bidens extra votes come from sickened Republicans and regretful democrats.

the highest turnout in history isn’t that hard to see.

If I can work it out then it’s not really a smart coup or the greatest trick ever pulled.

people hated Trump more than the other. It was the same thing last election.
you have a point but if there is something fishy going on, I believe it should be investigated.

especially, if it's going against our constitution. I don't know how important those things are to everyone giving me shit right now but it is uber important to me. It's not the Trump side that's trying to fuck with the constitution, it's the other side.

i have a question for you, so what if it was true that the democrats and with the help of foreigners, they stole the election? are you still going to support the democrats?

will you still hate Trump?

I agree. But I also think that facts should be presented instead of just crazy people ranting about what amounts to nothing.

Vehemently disagree. The man is trying to have entire precincts disqualified because they went to the other side. So not just nullifying the votes and charging those found to be fraudulent. But also eliminating people's voices because they live in an area that isn't kind to him. Including the voices of the people in that area that do support him. Not even remotely rational, legal, or American. It's the act of a petulant child that doesn't get his way.

so what if it was true that the democrats and with the help of foreigners, they stole the election?
As long as there is legitimate proof then all parties involved should be tried accordingly. Bring on the treason charges and the chair.

are you still going to support the democrats?
I don't now.

will you still hate Trump?
Absolutely.

Ps. I know you weren't asking me but I can't sleep and felt like answering.

why do you say there are no proof? there are hundreds of signed affidavits and oath sworn witnesses, that's a crime in itself to claim some BS like that. and what motives you think they'd have? you think they're getting paid?

I believe people are mis-informed on the entire lawsuits and evidence being presented, which is from the source they're being fed. it does go both ways but you can't expect to hear country music from a hip-hop station

or the perpetrators are not going to admit to their wrong doings, they're going to deny til the end.

I think that the witnesses don't really know what they saw in some instances. If you're a hammer then everything looks like a nail to you kind of deal. When you're being told by someone that you worship (not you in particular but there are so many fucking nutjobs that truly seem to worship Don) that there's going to be massive fraud and everything is fraud and the whole thing is rigged then you're going to start seeing fraud even if it doesn't really exist.

That's not me saying that there weren't fraudulent ballots cast on behalf of both parties. That's just me saying that I'm yet to see proof of the tangible, systemic fraud that's being alleged. Let alone enough fraud that would actually change outcomes.

And we can call it all political posturing but let's not forget which party shot down numerous election security bills in the last 2 years. One of which specifically wanted to ban the connection of voting machines to the internet.

One party was telling people to vote early and to mail in their votes to avoid lines and for safety. The other was saying that utilizing those already legal tools was illegal and a method for widespread fraud.

To me, one party just played that game better. Also, if you're concerned about the voting machines then wouldn't you want more of your people to use mail in ballots?

Don got outplayed at his own con and is pissed. But he and his strategists have no one to blame but each other.

This alone is enough for me to believe something shady happened this election...

have you watched the entire hearings about the witnesses? I'm not talking about from MSM where they only show bits and pieces, the entire thing. If you watch the entire hearings and still not convinced, then that's fine. It doesn't seem like that to me.

voting machine is one of the biggest problem right now you should check out the lawsuit of Sidney Powell, there's ton of fuckery there and to dismiss her claims when she's one of the most respected lawyers in the law community who's putting her entire career on the line, just for some petty evidence? (should really get out of your comfort zone and tune into the other side once in a while) the word is that China purchased the dominion machines for 400million and of course, the MSM is going to shut this down.

so I can't blame that they didn't wanted to pass that bill, and you know it was from both Republicans and the Democrats (elizabeth warren, and someone else) that had problem with these voting machines in the past.

another issue is how misinformed everyone is. how many lawsuits were there? I think MSM reports something like 39 lawsuits that's been denied LOL when reality, there was only 3 that was submitted by Team Trump.
