Gunshot Wound Victims Included In Colorado County’s Covid-Related Death Totals

A Colorado coroner is outraged over the “inflated” coronavirus-related death totals in Grand County.

According to Brenda Bock, the county’s five COVID-19 deaths include two gunshot wound victims.

The state health department, however, says they’re simply following protocol from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) by including anyone who’s tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 30 days.

“It’s absurd that they would even put that on there,” Bock said, according to 4CBS Denver. “Would you want to go to a county that has really high death numbers? Would you want to go visit that county because they’re contagious? You know, I might get it, and I could die if all of a sudden one county has a high death count. We don’t have it, and we don’t need those numbers inflated.”

“The state health department says the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention requires them to report people who’ve died with COVID-19 in their systems because it’s crucial for public health surveillance,” 4CBS Denver reported, outlining how the state codes coronavirus deaths:
This report is from May. And Colorado officials responded. They changed the way they report deaths. They separated them into two categories: Those who die due to COVID, determined by a doctor, medical examiner, or a coroner based on medical evidence. These are investigated by a separate coroner and may be removed and placed on the "with" category. And the second category, those who died with COVID. Both totals are important for data collectors.

The corner says he finds far more that should have been on the "due to" list than the other way around.

Washington and many other states now separate these categories. Washington reviewed earlier cases and found 7, yes 7, that were miscounted as due to COVID. They found 60 that most likely were due to COVID but were not labeled as such. They found 3000 deaths that aligned with COVID symptoms, such as pneumonia, but were not tested so weren't labeled as related.

Oregon says it isn't going to do that. Too complicated they said. Lol

How many times does this retarded false dichotomy have to be debunked?

The economies that are doing the best are the ones that controlled the virus, not the ones that went with your genius 'just let old people die, bro' idea.
where did I say let old people die?

This is the problem. Straight away you jump on the moral high ground and for you the argument is over.

There is a way of protecting and shielding the vulnerable without the 96% ( I’m being generous, we know it’s 99% + ) losing their businesses, jobs, education, life etc.

The lockdowns aren’t working here or in Europe particularly well. Would you not even consider a more focused approach? Would you at least agree that we should be supplied with the actual facts? People are paying a very high price without the information required to accept and just hope the politicians are doing the right thing. Why are they suppressing the basic facts?

Just so uncle Eugene who was 78 lived to be 80 and died of heart disease 2 years earlier.

Its a horrible call and above my pay scale but there is a price on human life I'm afraid.
Are you intellectually dishonest or just so dense that I have to explain your own argument to you? You are talking about letting old people die for the good of the rest of society in very clear terms.

And I'm not making a moral argument. I'm making an economic one. I've said that the entire premise of your shitty argument is based on an easily debunked false dichotomy. The best economic course of action has proven to be suppressing the virus, not allowing it to spread out of control. Enjoy crying about lockdowns, when not doing lockdowns properly is what fucked you in the first place.

Because here's the thing mete, the economy doesn't function properly when cunts are terrified for their lives and the lives of their family members because of a raging pandemic. You might not like that people react this way, but we can't always make other people behave in ways that we would like. For example, I would prefer it if people didn't make retarded arguments. And yet here we are.

I‘d like to think I’m not dishonest so I will go for dense.

It’s not economically clever to allow hundreds of thousands small businesses to go bust. This has cost the UK more than the entire cost of ww2. Already. And we are not finished yet. Are you seriously saying we are seeing the same principles being enacted? People knew the parameters of that can you say the same here? I can’t.

I get we need to control the virus to protect health services and not let them be over run. But maybe if we focus the effort it may be a better way of protecting the vulnerable.

Lockdowns in free societies don’t work. I hate to be that guy. But here we are.

nice anecdote. That's 2 deaths out of how many?

are COVID deaths under-counted or over-counted?

lockdowns don't work the same way prohibition doesn't work.

How exactly do we protect and shield the vulnerable? Explain the logistics to me.

I know of 2 people who died in a road traffic accident were latently classed as covid victims. They tested positive after death so had to be added.

This was from a police woman who attended the accident.

This is UK stats I’m not sure how the US counts covid deaths.

Its a shame the facts aren't more transparent.

friend of my wife is a single mom with two kids, 16 and 11. Her husband died a few years ago. She has fibromyalgia tumor growing between her esophagus and her spine. She needs surgery to remove the tumor, if it keeps growing there's a chance she'll have a spinal stroke and be paralyzed. She can't work until she gets the surgery, and the she needs an ICU bed on standby in case there's complications.

But there's no ICU beds, because of all the doctors trying to get rich diagnosing seasonal flu as COVID.

how am I doing, Thuglife13 @Thuglife13? big fake COVID, right?

anecdotal hearsay doesn't count.

excess mortality and unemployment count.

EDIT: how would a police officer know that COVID was added to the death certificate in a highway accident?

With all due respect I'm not trying to engage in a neverending back and forth with you. We both see things completely different. In my humble opinion this is serious but the lockdowns and shutting down schools is a bit much for me. I've also yet to know anyone personally who's gotten Covid and the people who I've heard that have gotten it have basically been in the realm of a cousin of a co-worker of a family member or friend and have gotten over it. I'm also on the opposite end because I've suffered through the loss of a close family member and couldn't be there at the moment of passing and thanks to California's strict rules, had a terrible funeral that caused even more hurt in the family...

so you're tired of being called on the BS about COVID that you post, but it hasn't really impacted you so it's not a thing?

Kiss my grits dude in the post above you insinuated that I said this is fake which I never have. I've just stated all along that I think it's been overblown...

I’m spitballing. But anyone in the vulnerable sector is paid to shield. Food delivered. All bills paid.

All bills.

Free TV. Free rent. Free food. Free WiFi. Anyone classed as vulnerable just applies. I wouldn’t care if people who just fancied a few months off applied.

Look after the vulnerable till they can be vaccinated.

i'm not judging, just think it's a good thought exercise.

how many people we figure are in the 'vulnerable sector'? or maybe what constitutes being in the vulnerable sector and we can make an estimate.

the uk gov accepts some diagnoses may have been incorrect

" During the pandemic, 263,826 deaths were recorded altogether in England and Wales and 218,143 were from causes other than coronavirus. That suggests that some 45,683 people died "from" coronavirus rather than the 49,560 figure published by the ONS."

that's someone woefully misinterpreting information.
