You're right, but we're a year past that at this point and instead of looking to minimize the overall impact of covid we're hanging in there with "Stop the spread, wait for vaccines" even though at this point we're all very aware of the many other costs associated with this approach. Up here we still only consult public health officials who publicly state that the other effects aren't their concern.

My mother, stepfather, and grandfather all got their second dose of the Pfizer vac yesterday.
