It's an infringement on canadians right to movement. Yes, government can get a pass on infringement if courts find it necessary. Let's be honest though, courts are gonna be tied up for years after covid blows over and many court cases are gonna be turfed.

The govt isn’t stopping your movement. If you chose to travel to specific destinations, you can do so at an increased hassle and cost.
You can still go to Mexico for a vacation and you will still be able to return to Canada.
I don’t think the courts will get tied up with this... someone will challenge it and we will get an answer.

I don't generally advocate for any decisions made in the "interest of public safety" particularly when they're hastily made. But I'm in the minority in that opinion, so all I ask for is consistency. If Citizen A is told "You can't leave your home unless you're getting essential supplies or if you work in an essential industry." You shouldn't tell Citizen B "Yeah, go ahead and take a vacation. Es cool." or Citizen C "Yeah, go ahead and go out of country for work even though you wouldn't be allowed to do the same job here in the country."
Regarding this "Canadian airlines will go bankrupt" narrative. That's a complete load of shit. They ask for (and get) handouts every couple years because their business model is complete and utter dogshit. I have a huge level of empathy for sound businesses who have had the rug pulled out from under them, but there are someone businesses that intentionally operate on a ridiculously thin margin/ constant growth model and put no money away for a rainy day. I have less empathy for those people.

Lord (Phillip) know I don't share any love for the French. They don't fuck around tho. If they don't like something they have a big massive riot about it. I don't agree with it but they demonstrate a lot more qualities than I saw during the USA protests last summer. Which were just for looting.
Canada French and Euro French are so far apart that their languages aren't recognizable by each other.
