Well motherfucker. This beautiful girl has been diagnosed with lymphoma cancer. She seems happy and healthy right now, we brought her to the vet cuz she was panting at night. We have been told she has 6 to 8 weeks to live.

With chemo, she could live another 12-18 months with a lower condition of life. $8000 for chemo, weekly treatments an hour and a half away.

We had an episode here this weekend with my boxer (10.5 yrs). Her back legs are starting to give out and she collapsed and panicked over and over again until I picked her up like a baby. We were all crying because we know our time is short. I’m sending love and empathy your way brother

Man, I’m sorry for those of you that have ailing pets, or have lost a pet recently. It’s always hard.
I had to put down my lab a couple years ago and it was really tough. She was getting old, but went downhill very suddenly. My son was only 4 at the time, but he loved her and still asks about her a lot. Not long ago I heard him sobbing in his room late at night so I went in to check on him. He was crying because he was laying in bed missing the dog, and was asking me questions like if he’d get to see her again when he goes to heaven ☹. Broke my heart to see that, poor little guy was still trying to figure out the whole death thing and she was the first living thing he loved to pass on.

Wow that diagnosis was spot on.. we had to put our girl down in the beginning of January.. it’s been a sad few weeks adjusting. I think our other dog is a bit depressed now. Crazy how much of a part of the family a pet can be.
