4 million people without electricity. Let's say that 75% are on electric heat. That's 3 million people with frozen pipes.
Even 10% is 300,000 floods starting over the next 24 hours as Central Texas starts to peek over the freezing temp
even the ones that have working heat aren't immune to the damage with this attic installations, pipes in exterior walls instead of interior, and the lack of proper insulation for sustained cold temps

it is gonna be really ugly

Holy shit. That’s really messed up. I wonder how many plumbers will come from out of state to help. I imagine lots of them will come out there and jack up the rates because they know they can charge astronomical amounts during a crisis.

Plumbers suck

Do we have any members in that light purple patch? No mention because they are not bothered / prepared or I guess?
Yes, I think I am. I'm also color blind so we could be looking at different areas.

I meant those states north of you that are in the purple patch, Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri. Looks like they are getting it rougher than Texas, but I haven't heard anything about it.

I suppose everything further north will be adequately prepared anyway.

Yes, more prepared. My sister is in Oklahoma and doing fine.
